Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) At least one pair of contacts that open and close, a plurality of arc extinguishing plates that extinguish arcs generated when the pair of contacts open and close, and a pair of side plates that sandwich the plurality of arc extinguishing plates. In a circuit breaker equipped with an arc extinguishing chamber, only the portions of the plurality of arc extinguishing plates fixed to the pair of side plates or the portions near the fixed portions are brought into contact with the pair of side plates, and the other portions are brought into contact with the pair of side plates. By separating the pair of side plates from each other, making the fixed portions different at least in the upper and lower positions, and providing a groove parallel to the arc between the fixed portions of the pair of side plates, the distance between the plurality of arc extinguishing plates is reduced. A circuit breaker designed to increase the insulation distance.
