【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は内燃機関用直立排気管における水切り装置に関
する。

載される内燃機関の排気管2が直立状態に設けられたも

ストレートに排出されてしまうという問題があり、水切
り効果が乏しい欠点があった。

至はやや大径にし、この孔あきテーパー管の外周に吸水
性物質を巻着し、その外周にシェルを設けた構成として
、排気ガスが前記拡張室に流入する際に拡散して排気ガ
スに同伴される水滴を孔あきテーパー管の内周面に向は
誘導して水切り孔から確実に吸水性物質に吸水させ得る
ようにした内燃機関用直立排気管における水切り装置を
提供することを目的とするものである。

先端開口部9bの口径は排気管2と同径乃至はやや大径
とされ、前記ディフューザ6により拡張室10が形成さ
れている。

する外周面を有する円錐壁体7を支持アーム8,8によ
り支承して拡張室10内に設置したものである。

て発生する水滴が排気ガス流により排出されるときディ
フューザ内の拡張室に流入して拡散され、排気ガスに同
伴されて飛遊する水滴を自ずと孔あきテーパー管の内周
面に誘導することができ、そのため孔あきテーパー管の
水切り孔を通じ外部に排出してその外周の吸水性物質に
効果的に吸水させることができ、また第4図に示すよう
に拡張室内に円錐壁体を内装することにより水切り作用
をさらに向上させることができる。
