[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a reinforcing structure for steel doors, especially when the door is supported at the top and bottom of one side, such as folding doors or hinged doors, where the load of the entire group is applied to an unbalanced fulcrum. This product was developed with the aim of providing a steel door that is lightweight, strong, and has a good appearance that eliminates the distortion caused by the door.

In a steel door, for example, a folding door as shown in Fig. 1, the left and right edges of the steel plate are usually rolled inward to the back side of the surface plate 1 forming the vertical rib edges 2, 2.
The upper crosspiece 3, the middle crosspiece 4, and the lower crosspiece 5 are each provided with a vertical rib edge 2,
The two are fixed and reinforced by spot welding.

In addition, the thickness of the obtained product must be increased so that the distortion of the surface plate due to welding heat does not extend to the surface, and although the rigidity can be improved, there is also the disadvantage that distortion remains in the product.

The reinforcing structure for steel doors according to the present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks, and forms the surface plate by press-forming a beautiful decorative steel plate that has been painted in advance, without spot welding or post-painting. and a rib part 14 arranged on the back side of the edge.
The channel-shaped hollow reinforcing bars formed therein are sandwiched by folding back the face plates at the top and bottom, and riveted to the winding portions of the face plate on the left and right sides of the hollow reinforcing bars. It is characterized in that the back surface plate and the inner surface of the hollow reinforcing crosspiece are integrated with an adhesive layer.

For this door, pivot pins 8 and 9 provided above and below the left end of the left door are fixed to the upper rail 6 and lower rail 7 so that the door can rotate freely, and guide pins 10 and 11 are attached to the upper and lower right ends of the right door on the upper rail 6. The door is opened and closed while sliding along the lower rail 7.

Therefore, since the weight of the two doors is supported by the pivot pins 8 and 9, it is extremely important to reinforce each face plate 1. If sufficient reinforcement is not provided, the door may become distorted and the guide pins 1
1 gradually decreases, causing squeaks when opening and closing.

The upper rail 3, the middle rail 4, and the lower rail 5 are provided as reinforcing bars on the back side of the surface plate 1 of such a steel door, respectively, between the vertical rib edges 2, 2. Instead of welding, it is secured with rivets 13 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, and the surface plate 1 is reinforced with adhesive as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

For bonding, each part is made into a hollow reinforcing crosspiece, rib parts 14 are formed on both edges, the core body 15 is filled in the hollow part, and adhesive layers 16 and 16 are provided on both sides of the core body 15. , the core body 15 and the inner surface of the reinforcing crosspiece and the core body 15 and the back surface of the surface plate 1 are adhesively fixed, respectively.

If the hollow reinforcing crosspiece is an upper crosspiece or a lower crosspiece, one rib part 14
It can be reinforced by sandwiching it between the upper end or lower end of the surface plate 1 at the tightly bent part 18, and the middle crosspiece can be reinforced with a handle 19 at its center.
Alternatively, since the crosspiece and the surface plate can be clamped and reinforced by decoration, it is possible to extremely firmly integrate them together with the adhesive layer.

The thickness and width of the hollow reinforcing beam and the core body are appropriately selected and adjusted depending on the size and required rigidity of the door body, but if the width of the two panels shown in Fig. 1 is 900 mm and the height is 175 mm, The vertical width of the crosspiece is about 15 mm and the thickness is about 26 mm, which is sufficient for rigidity.
