Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid the stoppage of a picture due to a searching action by using at least two pairs of detection head systems and performing a high-speed search for the next reproduction by one system before the video reproduction is ended with the other system. CONSTITUTION:A detection head 2', a head drive means 4' and a control means 5' are newly added. A main control means 7 controls a switch means 10. The output signal of a motor 3 is connected to the (a) side while a reproduction means of the (a) side is performing reproduction. A the same time, the output of a detection circuit 5a of a follower control means 5 is connected to a signal processing means 8. While the output of the motor 3 is connected to the (b) side while a reproduction means of the (b) side is operated. The output of a detection circuit 5a' is connected to a means 8. Thus the reproduction means of one side performs a search while the reproduction means of the other side is delivering a picture. Then a detection head 2 or 2' is set waiting at the head position of an array and at the next branch point. When a picture is selected at a branch point, the head of one side has a searching action and the output is switched to the other head.

A disk-shaped recording medium such as a video disk has multiple or multiple sets of image information signals arranged concentrically on the disk, and an address is determined and recorded based on the arrangement of each signal, so the operator can also read the address. It is possible to freely select and combine any signals with and to randomly reproduce or perform. Therefore, such a disk can be used to construct a car driving simulator or an aircraft piloting simulator, but as the distance of each discontinuously arranged signal on the screen becomes large, it takes several seconds for the detection head to move. Because it saves time, it has the disadvantage that the screen display stops for that amount of time.

When the player is powered on in step a1, the main control device controls the player's power supply, rotates disk 1,
Initial operations such as setting the detection head 2 to the starting position of the board are performed. Next, in step a2, the information addresses and the like of each array recorded on the disc 1 are input and stored in the main computer of the player, and the player waits for instructions from the operator. Thus, when the operator commands operation from the start position (address 100) in step a3, step a4.
Address the detection member to the player's slave control means with a5]
A command to search at position 00 is issued, a search is performed, and the head drive device 4 moves the detection head 2 to the position on the disk 1 where addresses 100 to 199 are recorded. When the search is completed, still images at addresses 100 to 199 are output to the screen in order at steps a6 and a7.
The screen changes as if the operator were driving straight through the area of Lane A.

Figure 5 shows the flow of such high-speed search control and still image control, and these two control sounds are shown in the flow as slave control and main control by two computers, but this is easy to explain. This is because it can be operated by the same microcontroller if the interrupt processing and other configurations are devised.

When the operator stands at the branch point BIt□ at address 199, the operator instructs whether to go straight or turn left in step a8. If you instruct to go straight, step ag + aH6 is address 20.
The screen of the next lane B pass on the disk 1 at 0 to 299 is output continuously. Thus address 299
When the operator reaches the branch point BR2, the operator inputs a right or left turn signal in step a11.

In this case, the selection does not make the operator feel strange because the array is selected at a continuous position on the disk 1. However, when a left turn is selected at the initial branch point BR1, the next lane B'(1'J) is searched at high speed as shown in steps a13 and B14, and the head drive device 4 moves the detection head 2 to the lane B of the disk 1. The camera moves to the position where the image of the ``mark'' was recorded, that is, the address 400.Next, in step aIsl 816, a still image of the lane B' axis is displayed.Furthermore, when a left turn is selected at the latter junction BR2, the step As shown by a201 B21, the next lane B(N) is searched at high speed, and the head driving device 4 moves the detection head 2 to the position where the image of the lane B axis of the disk 1 is recorded, that is, address 200.Next, Step a91: The screen for lane B0 is reproduced as shown by alo.

As described above, when it is necessary to output signals discontinuously arranged on the disk 1, a high-speed search is required to move the detection head 2 to a predetermined recording position on the disk 1 before outputting the signals arranged discontinuously on the disk 1. The screen freezes for several seconds, creating an unnatural appearance.

As shown in FIG. 6, a detection head 2, head driving means 4', and slave control means 5' are newly added to the conventional apparatus shown in FIG. 3(A). This newly added detection head 2' is provided at a sufficient distance from the previous detection head 2 so as not to overlap or come into contact with each other. The control signals for the motor 3 outputted from the slave control means 5, 5' are sent to the signal path to the motor 3 and 4M signal processing means 8 via the switching means 10, and the switching means 10 is connected to the control signal from the main control means 7. Depending on the signal, multiple means may be selected.

選択を問い合わせる処理を行う。
The operator decides whether to go straight or turn right at the branch point BR4 at address 499.
If the instruction is given before reaching , (before the time required for high-speed search), the unused 01 rule will be searched in the direction determined by the selection, and the timing will be set. That is, if you are instructed to go straight, step a! , o set the ■ side to address 300, and the screen of lane A' pass is displayed continuously from branch point BR4. When a right turn is instructed, all side addresses 400 are set in advance in step a60, and the screen of the branch point BR and lane B'H, which was earlier than that, continues to be displayed. When the vehicle enters the branch point -, the process of inquiring about the direction selection at the branch point is performed again in the same manner as described above.

As described above, in the above device, while one of the playback means (■ or timing the detection head 2 or 2' to the negative position of the head;
When a screen is selected at a branch point, the output is switched from one head that was conventionally reproducing to the other searched head, and screen signals can be output continuously. Therefore, conventional searches had the disadvantage that the screen would freeze, but
According to the present invention, the screen can be continuously displayed without stopping, and unnaturalness of the simulation can be prevented.

According to the present invention, in terms of hardware, the rotation mechanism (including the motor) that supports and rotates the disk with high precision is one part.
Furthermore, the complex signal processing (image processing) section only needs to be prepared in one piece, and since operations that conventionally required multiple players can be performed with one player, it can be provided at a low cost. . In addition, in terms of software, the operator only has to operate one player, which not only makes it easy to handle advanced software play that requires advanced technology, but also reduces running costs since all one has to do is purchase one disc. It is also cheap.

Further, although the control means have been described as master and slave, these master and slave control means can also be constituted by one microcomputer by configuring them by interrupt processing or the like. Furthermore, although this embodiment shows a two-dimensional simulation using two mechanisms, the present invention is not limited to this, but by increasing the number of mechanisms to three to four, it is possible to create a three-dimensional simulation such as a simulation of an airplane moving at high speed. It becomes possible to deal with dimensional objects, and brings about the sophistication and expandability of disc player software.
