Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a pinch roller function as a spring which resets a transmission member that transmits the actuation of a pinch roller holding member and a motive power member to the pinch roller holding member to the original position, by making use of the force of a spring which presses the pinch roller to a capstan. CONSTITUTION:When a play mode is switched to a stop mode, the transmission of power carried out by a solenoid plunger, a motor, etc. is released to an action arm 46. Then each action is reversed orderly. In this case, an actuation member 37 is moved down by a head base spring 43 and springs 40 and 41 to function as a reset spring which turns the arm 46 in the opposite direction. A spring which energizes a pinch roller holding member toward a capstan is used to apply the downward force to an actuation member for the pinch roller holding member by the relation between the working point of said spring and the fulcrum of the pinch roller holding member. Thus the pinch roller moves the pinch roller holding member back to the direction where the holding member gets away from the capstan.

In this way, in order to transition from the stop state to the play state, the mode switching device of the conventional tape player has a mechanism that moves the head and resists the spring of the operating arm in addition to the spring that presses the pinch roller against the capstan. Because it has to operate, the solenoid plunger or motor that is the driving force requires a larger operating force than necessary, which consumes extra energy, and the driving part is large, requiring space and increasing costs. There were drawbacks such as climbing.

Like a musketeer, the present invention utilizes a spring that urges a pinch roller holding member that pivotally supports the pinch roller toward the capstan, and by the relationship between the acting point of this spring and the fulcrum of the pinch roller holding member, A downward force is applied to the actuating member that operates the pinch roller holding member, thereby returning the pinch roller holding member in the direction in which the pinch roller moves away from the capstan. Therefore, there is no need for a solenoid plunger or motor, etc., which is the driving force for the extra force that resists this spring, and the energy consumption can be reduced, and it is also compact and space-saving. It can be reduced and costs can also be reduced.
