Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust the position of a magnetic head with high efficiency by driving a magnetic recording medium through a record head and then a reproduction head together with application of recording signals to both heads respectively and then developing the images on the recording medium produced by both heads. CONSTITUTION:The recording signal for test, for example, is supplied to a record head 1 and at the same time a DC power supply 5 such as a dry cell, etc. is connected to a reproduction head 2 for supply of power. Under such conditions, a recording medium 3 is driven toward an arrow head to form images produced by both heads 1 and 2 on a recording surface. Then the medium 3 is dipped into a nonvolatile liquid containing the magnetic iron powder to develop each latent recorded image. The relative positions of both heads 1 and 2 can be simply recognized from the visible images TW and RW recorded on the medium 3.
