号に変換して記憶するメモリと、前記各受光素子の出力
をスイッチング回路で切換えて順次前記AD変換器に入
力するように制御すると共に、前記メモリー  に記憶
されたデータを順次読出し、前記各受光素子の間隔を細
分割するように設定された値と比較し、前記紙葉類の端
部位置を検知する比較制御手段とを具えたことを特徴と
する紙葉類の端部検知装置。
