Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain almost the same feeling as the result of comparison between the images from a video film and a VTR by bringing a color temperature of a video signal system of a VTR and a video projector from 3,200 deg.K into 5,600 deg.K. CONSTITUTION:The color temperature of a film is generally 5,600 deg.K. On the other hand, in case of a video system, the color temperature of a camera is 3,900 deg.K, that of a monitor television receiver is 9,600 deg.K+5MPCD and that of a video projector is 9,000 deg.K+20MPCD having a clear difference. The color temprature of the video signal is set from 3,200 deg.K (for TV movie) into 5,600 deg.K (for movie). Thus, the feeling very close to the film is obtained and a problem due to the difference of both is eliminated.

Television signals have made great advances, especially with the invention of the VTR, and continue to this day, and they have a great advantage, especially compared to film, in terms of immediacy of playback. The method of shooting, developing, editing, and projecting using film still occupies the mainstream in the film industry.

Conventional configurations and their problems Film movies are completed through complex processes such as shooting, developing, editing, recording, and printing. The method used to display the completed film was to project it onto a screen in a dark room. However, this requires a dark and specific room with a projector installed.
Operation in a bright room, simple movement of the projector, and image processing during projection were extremely difficult. Therefore, as an alternative to film, a method using a so-called video signal using a VTR and, for example, a glossy television may be considered.・Purpose of the Invention The present invention is intended to ensure that when a reproduced signal from a VTR is projected on a video projector, the appearance of the picture does not differ greatly from the projected image of a movie film. It is.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The drawings are schematic diagrams of a movie theater video playback device that is an embodiment of the present invention. In the drawing, the composite video signal is not directly processed, but is divided into Y, I@Q in the NTS'C system, and Y, IJ, and ■ in the PAL system (hereinafter referred to as baseband signals), and is then recorded and played back. At a point near the end of the output VTR 1, the output VTR 2 is activated by a cue signal recorded on one of the 4th channels of the audio stereo of the output VTR 1, and when synchronization is entered, the control device 4 controls the output of the output VTR 1. The baseband signal sent from the VTR 1 can be switched from the transmission VTR 1 to the transmission VTR 2. Below, from the sending VTR 2,

The switching to 1 is performed sequentially. The switched baseband signal is encoded into a composite video signal by an encoder circuit built in the control device 4, sent to the video projector 6, and projected onto the screen 7. The feel of the picture was very different from the film image even on the same screen, and it was clearly possible to distinguish between the video screen and the film screen. This difference is unacceptable to those who are accustomed to film-based screens, and the psychological sensation is extremely different.
Image permissions were limited.

As a result of various experiments, it was found that the main cause of this was the color temperature setting. For example, in the case of film, the color temperature is generally 5600'.

On the other hand, in the case of a video system, for example, the camera is 39000°, the monitor TV is +5MPCD at 9600°, the video projector Fi is +20MPCD at 9000°,
There is a clear difference. Furthermore, if you investigate in detail, you can set the color temperature of these video 7 stems to any color temperature that satisfies the movie industry (3200°K (for TV movies) to 56000K (for movies)). It turns out that if you do this, you can create a feeling that is very similar to film, and you can eliminate the problems caused by the differences between the two mentioned above.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, in a device that selectively projects images from a movie film and an image from a VTR on the same screen, many viewers can enjoy almost the same feeling as the film. I was able to get it from the test results. Note that this concept can be similarly applied to other video systems used in conjunction with film.
