[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention prevents partial cracking or warping of the base due to the difference in the degree of expansion and contraction between the tile and the base when the tile is fixed to a base such as concrete. It is related to tile structure.

These tiles are generally installed on the surface of a concrete or mortar layer by partially embedding it within the layer while it is uncured, and then fixed as the concrete or mortar layer hardens. A method of doing so has been adopted.

However, tiles are usually fired at high temperatures and their expansion and contraction are not that great, whereas base materials such as concrete are usually not fired and therefore have a greater degree of expansion and contraction than tiles. For this reason, when tiles are fixed to these base materials, there is a drawback that over many years some of the base materials may crack or warp.

The present inventor has conducted various researches with the aim of eliminating such drawbacks and obtaining a tile structure that can fix tiles and base materials with different degrees of expansion and contraction for many years without substantially causing cracks or warping. As a result of investigation, it was found that the above object could be achieved by providing a material capable of absorbing strain in the portion of the tile that is in contact with the base, and by providing legs for fixing to the base.

Thus, the present invention provides a tile which has a flexible material in the portion of the tile that comes into contact with the base, and has base fixing legs embedded in the tile.

A fluororesin or the like can be used as appropriate. The degree of flexibility of a flexible material is generally such that its Young's modulus is smaller than that of the underlying material, preferably 1/]0 or less. If the degree of flexibility exceeds the above range, it may not be possible to fully absorb the strain of the base material, which is not preferable because there is a risk of warping or cranking.

Further, the thickness of such flexible material is generally 0. ”~511
It is appropriate to adopt approximately 1111. If the thickness is less than the above range, it will not be able to sufficiently absorb the strain caused by the difference in expansion and contraction between the tile and the base material, and if it exceeds the above range, it will be difficult to secure the tile sufficiently. None of these are preferable because there is a possibility that this may occur.

There is no particular restriction on the specific means for providing these flexible substances on the tile surface, and for example, means such as adhesion or pressure bonding can be employed as appropriate.

Further, the shape of the legs is preferably such that the tips thereof are bent or provided with ribs so that they can be firmly fixed in the base material and can also be prevented from falling off.

There are no particular restrictions on the method of embedding the legs in the tile, and any suitable method can be used. When the iron wire is burned away, a void is created in that area, but in reality, the tile shrinks as it sinters, so it is possible to fill in the void exactly. Substantially no occurrence of this occurs, and the adhesion between the iron wire and the tile can be improved.

The accompanying drawing is a front view of a tile according to an example of the present invention, in which 1 is a tile main body, 2 is a flexible material, and 3 is a base fixing leg. As shown in the figure, the leg part 3 is made of a single linear body, with both ends protruding so as to be embedded in the base of the letter board, and the central part of the leg part 3 is bent and fixed inside the tile.
