First, as shown in the sequence diagram of the communication method in Figure 1, the calling station makes a call to the called station, and after confirming the completion of the dial connection, sends facsimile information. , is a general one-way facsimile communication method in which the calling station ends the communication when it runs out of documents to send. In this communication method, facsimile information is unilaterally transmitted from the called station after the line is connected.

These systems are, for example, one-way facsimile communication systems in which a center station that requires a collection function makes a call when it collects information from facsimile stations in various locations. However, in recent years, the decentralization of corporate structures has developed, and as a result there is a growing need for information decentralization and the sharing of IJ sources, and furthermore, facsimile machines that can be used both for sending and receiving have become widespread. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, there has been a need for an efficient facsimile communication system that can be transmitted and received in both directions.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems, and to provide a general-purpose facsimile communication system that is capable of mutually transmitting and receiving facsimile information with a single connection in facsimile communication using a subscriber line, and that has high communication efficiency and good operability. The goal is to provide a method.

According to the present invention, a calling station and a called station each include a switch for transferring the right to transmit facsimile information, a transmission document presence/absence detecting means, and a facsimile transmitting/receiving means, and the calling station sets the switch to a transmitting right transfer state. When the transmission document presence detecting means detects that there is no document to be transmitted, the transmission is stopped and a transmission right transfer signal is sent, while the called station receives the transmission right transfer signal. When you take it out,
When the called station transmits facsimile information and the transmitted original presence detecting means of the called station detects that there is no original to be transmitted, the transmission is stopped and a transmission right transfer signal is sent from the called station to the calling station. This provides a facsimile communication system that allows transmission. Furthermore, when the calling station receives the transmission right transfer signal from the called station, if the detection circuit of the calling station is in the state where there is a document to be transmitted again, it sends facsimile information in the same way as above. To continue the communication, if the detection circuit is in a state where there is no document to be transmitted, the calling station performs a communication termination operation.
A facsimile communication system is obtained in which mutual transmission and reception of facsimile information can be realized with only one connection on one line.
Next, a facsimile communication system according to the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings.

First, FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a facsimile calling station or called station for realizing the communication system of the present invention. In this figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a transmission right transfer switch, which sets the station device to either a transmission right transfer state or a transmission right non-transfer state. Reference numeral 2 denotes a circuit for detecting the presence or absence of a document to be transmitted, which notifies the facsimile transceiver 3 whether or not there is a document 4 to be transmitted continuously or next.

Now, assuming that the transmission right transfer switch is set to the transmission right transfer state, after the calling station dials and connects to the desired called station, the calling station sends facsimile information. It is done. Eventually, when the transmission original presence/absence detecting circuit 2 detects that there are no originals to be transmitted, the transmission right transfer signal is sent out without disconnecting the line since the transmission right transfer state has been set as described above. On the other hand, when the called station receives the transmission right transfer signal, it has a document to transmit, so it transmits facsimile information. Then, when the called station detects that there is no transmitted document by the transmitted document presence/absence detection circuit 2 in the same way as the calling station, it transmits the document even though the calling station is in the state of the transmission right transfer switch. A right transfer signal is transmitted to the calling station. The calling station that receives this detects that no original document is prepared for transmission and disconnects the line. If the transmission original is set again at the time when the calling station receives the transmission right transfer signal from the called station, the status is recognized by the transmission original presence detection circuit, so the state shown in FIG. As seen in the sequence diagram, the facsimile information is sent again and communication continues. According to the above embodiment,
Since facsimile information is mutually transmitted and received through a single connection between the calling station and the called station, the time required for line connection can be minimized.

Furthermore, during a single connection, the operator can monitor the status of the received record and immediately send comments on it, or efficiently send new or unexpectedly generated documents one by one. can be sent and received. It goes without saying that the configuration of this embodiment can also be used in a system in which the calling station only transmits, or in a system in which only the called station transmits, as in the conventional method.

That is, regarding the former, the same sequence as in FIG. 1 is executed by setting a transmission original at the calling station and setting the transmission right transfer switch to the transmission right non-transfer state. Regarding the latter, by setting the transmission right transfer switch to the transmission right transfer state without setting the transmission original at the calling station, the transmission original set at the called station can be collected at the calling station. The sequence shown in Figure 2 is realized. As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, in facsimile communication using a subscriber line, facsimile information can be sent and received alternately from both the calling station and the called station in one connection. The effect obtained is significant in that efficiency and operability can be improved.
