Claims

(1) ■-type internal combustion engine with a cylinder block in which cylinder rows are arranged in a V-shape, and the surroundings of the cylinder groups arranged in the left and right banks are cooled with coolant that is forcibly circulated by a water pump. In this cooling system, the cylinders between the V-type machines are arranged so that the cylinder centers of the cylinders of the other bank are located between the cylinder centers of adjacent cylinders of one bank, and the cylinders are separated by an outer wall of the cylinder block.
