Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost by integrally casting a cooling water pipe with the valve seat of an exhaust valve. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water pipe 8 communicating with a cooling water flow pipe 9 is integrally cast with the valve seat 4 of an exhaust valve. This eliminates requirement for process of welding or the like, and remarkable reduction in the cost is realized. Concentrative cooling is made for only a seat part of the exhaust valve seat which really requires cooling, and overcooling of the exhaust flow can be avoided.
