In a facsimile printing device using a thermal head, a movable bracket and a thermal head fixing bracket that is separated from the movable bracket are supported by a common hinge shaft, and from the widthwise center of the thermal head fixed to the thermal head fixing bracket. A spring insertion hole is drilled through the thermal head fixing bracket at two positions equidistant from each other, and a spring is loosely inserted into the hole, and the movable bracket fixed in the printing state is inserted through the spring. The thermal head is pressed against the platen roller, the two spring insertion holes are matched to the thermal head for B4 size printing paper, and one of the two spring insertion holes is for fixing the thermal head.
