Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust the tone of a color of a copying picture by a simple constitution without using a filter, by varying a relative quantity of a luminous flux reaching an original surface of plural light sources having a different spectrum. CONSTITUTION:A reflected light from an original surface 5 irradiated by light sources 1, 2 is reflected by a mirror 6, passes through a lens 7, reflected by a mirror 8 and forms an image on the surface of a photosensitive drum 9. In this case, the image formed on the photosensitive drum 9 becomes an image of a color corresponding to a light emitting spectrum of the light sources 1, 2 and a reflection characteristic of the original surface 5. In a standard position of a knob 12 of a light quantity controller, a radiation illuminance on the original surface by the light sources 1, 2 becomes a characteristic curve 15, and when the knob 12 is turned to the R side, an input to the light source from the light source 1 becomes large relatively, and the radiation illuminance of the original surface becomes a characteristic curve 16. In this case, an image formed on the photosensitive drum 9 becomes an image whose red tint is more than that of a standard case, and a red tint can be increased on a copy picture. When the knob 12 is turned in reverse, a cyan tint can be increased comparing with a standard case.

Conventional configuration and its problems In conventional color copying machines, the light source has a fixed spectrum. Various filters were installed between the original and the imaging unit to absorb specific wavelengths. In the method of obtaining a color copy image by repeating the exposure and development process three or four times (hereinafter referred to as the three-shot method), in order to adjust the hue, in addition to three or four types of filters corresponding to the number of exposures, In addition, a color adjustment filter was provided and replaced, or the illuminance of the document surface by the light source was changed for each exposure.

On the other hand, in the one-shot method, in which a color copy image is obtained by one exposure and development, the color tone is adjusted by changing the type of filter inserted between the document surface and the imaging unit. Among these methods, the three-shot method, which uses a filter to adjust the hue, or the one-shot method, which conventionally required the use of a filter, requires an extra filter to adjust the hue, which only increases costs. However, the structure of the filter replacement reservoir was complicated, and the copying speed was reduced due to loss of light amount.
