Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from being scattered, by cleaning and dropping an excessive toner in case when a development has been performed to a turning image carring body, and collecting it by a roller provided on the downstream side of a developing device. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 2 is provided in the vicinity of an image carrying body 1 which turns in the direction as indicated with an arrow (a), a carrying carrier 2a of a toner is turned in the direction as indicated with an arrow (b) by controlling a thickness of the toner of its surface by a regulating plate 2b, and a latent image is developed. An excessive toner is dropped down, a toner scattering preventive device 3 is provided on the downstream side of the developing device 2, the toner is caught by a roller 3a in the device 3, the roller 3a is cleaned by a blade 3b, and the toner is collected in a toner receiver 3c. In this way, scattering of the toner is prevented easily, and a disorder of a toner image is prevented.
