Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance deodorizing capacity and to enable the repeated use of a deodorizing filter by regenerating the same, by using an activated carbon fiber as the deodorant of the deodorizing filter of an air purification apparatus and providing a heater in the suction side of the deodorizing filter. CONSTITUTION:A blower 9 is operated to blow contaminated air in a room into a purification apparatus through a blow-in grill 14 and dust particles are collected by a dust collection filter 12. Succeedingly, malodorous gas is adsorbed by the activated carbon fiber 11 of a deodorizing filter 10 and blown as clean air from a blow-out grill 15. When the activated carbon fiber reaches a saturated adsorbing amount during operation for a long time, a current is supplied to a heater 13 and hot air is sent to regenerate the activated carbon fiber. It is unnecessary to replace the deodorizing filter and repeated use is possible.

Structure of Conventional Example and Its Problems As shown in FIG. 1, a conventional air purifying device has a casing 1 having a blower 2, a deodorizing filter 3, and a dust collecting filter 4 inside. A suction grill 6 is provided on the suction side of the dust collecting filter 4, and an outlet grill 6 is provided on the upper part of the casing 1. Activated carbon 7 is usually used as a deodorizing agent inside the deodorizing filter 3, and is molded from nonwoven fabric, plastic, or the like.

Since activated carbon 7 is used as a deodorizing agent in the above configuration, its lifespan is short, and if it continues to be used even after its lifespan,
It has the disadvantage that once adsorbed components are re-released due to factors such as temperature changes and humidity changes. Since the deodorizing filter 3 is expensive, it is generally not replaced even after its life has expired, and if it continues to be used even after its life, it has the drawback that the above-mentioned re-emission is particularly likely to occur. had.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION Therefore, an object of the present invention is to improve the deodorizing effect and to regenerate the deodorizing effect of a deodorizing agent without replacing the deodorizing filter even when the deodorizing filter reaches the end of its service life.

Structure of the Invention In order to achieve this object, the present invention has a faster adsorption rate and a larger adsorption amount than conventional activated carbon at room temperature.
In addition, activated carbon fibers, which are easily desorbed at temperatures of about 100°C and can regenerate the deodorizing effect, are used as the deodorizing agent in the deodorizing filter, and a heater is installed on the suction side of the deodorizing filter.
By energizing the heater, warm air is applied to the deodorizing filter to regenerate the deodorizing filter.

In the above configuration, when the blower 9 is operated, dirty indoor air as indicated by the arrow passes through the suction grill 14 and dust particles are collected by the dust filter 12. Next, deodorizing filter 1
Odor gases are adsorbed by o. Then, a large amount of clean air is blown through the blow-off grill 16. Since the deodorizing agent inside the deodorizing filter 1o uses activated carbon fibers 11 as described above, the adsorption speed is faster and the amount of adsorption is larger than that of conventional activated carbon, so the deodorizing effect is also large. FIG. 3 shows the repeated adsorption and desorption of trimethylamine by activated carbon fibers under adsorption conditions of a concentration of 300 ppm, flow rate of 15 cti/sec, temperature of 20° C., and desorption conditions of a temperature of 140° C. and N2 gas as a medium. Activated carbon fibers adsorb about twice as much as conventional activated carbon at room temperature, but when heated to 140°C, the fibers are completely desorbed in about 12 minutes and the deodorizing effect is regenerated. In addition, Figure 4 shows the adsorption conditions, adsorption temperature 26℃, ventilation rate 2.5cr.
n/Sec, eye adhesive concentration 750 ppm, desorption conditions, desorption temperature 25° C. to 150° C., and the desorption medium was heated air, which shows the adsorption and desorption properties of activated carbon fibers for toluene. As in the case of trimethylamine, the amount of adsorption is about twice as much as activated carbon at room temperature, but by heating it to 100°C, it can be completely desorbed in about 15 minutes and the deodorizing effect can be regenerated.

Generally, the same applies to odor gases other than the above-mentioned trimethylamine and toluene, and they can be easily desorbed by heating to about 100° C., and the deodorizing effect can be regenerated.

Therefore, if the activated carbon fiber 11 is operated for a long time, the activated carbon fiber 11 will naturally reach a saturated adsorption amount, and the deodorizing effect will be lost at the end of its life. Therefore, by energizing the motor 13 and sending hot air of about 100°C, the deodorizing effect can be easily reproduced using the characteristics of the activated carbon fibers mentioned above, and can be repeated many times as shown in Figure 3. Unfortunately, there is no need to replace the deodorizing filter. Furthermore, the problem of re-release is likely to occur if the product is continued to be used even after its service life, so this can be solved by easily regenerating the deodorizing effect of the activated carbon fibers 11.

Therefore, as is clear from the description of this embodiment, it is possible to improve the deodorizing performance, reproduce the deodorizing effect of the deodorizing filter, and enable repeated use.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention improves deodorizing performance by using activated carbon fibers in the deodorizing section of an air purifying device and providing a heater on the suction side of the deodorizing section. The activated carbon fibers can be recycled and used repeatedly.
