Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce efficiently a high-grade polished out ornamental pattern by coating a paint which is mixed with colored particles and has the color different from the color of said colored particles on the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod or the like then polishing the coated surface to expose the colored particles. CONSTITUTION:A paint layer 3 which is mixed with colored particles 2 consisting of vinyl chloride, etc. and has the color different from the color of said particles is coated on the surface of the tubular body 1 such as the fishing rod or the like formed of glass fibers, etc. and thereafter the layer 3 is polished to expose the colored particles on the surface, thereby producing the pattern consisting of the particles 2 on the layer 3. A transparent or colored transparent paint 4 is further thinly coated on the surface thereof if necessary. The high- grade polished out ornamental pattern is thus efficiently and easily formed without the laborious labor and skill for forming the rough surface such as in the conventional polishing out process after overlap coating.

Conventional techniques Printing, transfer, polishing, etc. are known as means for forming decorative patterns on the surface of tubular bodies such as fishing rods, but they are especially suitable for decoration of high-class objects that require traditional grandeur or splendor. Currently, patterns are created by applying different colored paint layers on a rough surface and polishing them.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, the conventional method of applying multiple layers of paint takes time to form a rough surface of the paint layer, requires great skill, and has difficulty in stabilizing a uniform pattern. However, it is inefficient and extremely expensive, making it only available to a limited number of enthusiasts.

Structure of the Invention The present invention makes it possible to efficiently manufacture such a high-grade decorative pattern by mixing colored particles on the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod, and after coating the colored particles and a different color paint. The gist of this method is to polish the coated surface to expose colored particles.

To explain the present invention in detail, colored particles (2) made of vinyl chloride, nylon, etc. are mixed on the surface of a tubular body (1) such as a fishing rod made of glass fiber, carbon fiber, etc., and have a different color from the particles. After applying the paint layer (3), apply the paint layer (3).

) to reveal a pattern by the colored particles (2), and if necessary, a thin layer of transparent or colored transparent paint (4) is applied to the surface.

The colored particles (2) are harder than the paint layer (3) and have a diameter of about 0.5 to 0.05 m/m.
The amount mixed into 3) is preferably about 5 to 30% by weight,
In addition, as a means of applying the paint layer (3), as shown in Fig. 1, the colored particles (2) are applied so that they protrude from the painted surface, and the areas where there are no particles (2) are swamped on the painted surface. Although polishing is preferable, it is also possible to apply the paint layer (3) thickly so that the colored particles (2) are buried and expose the colored particles (2) while polishing the paint layer (3). When another thin colored paint layer (3)' is applied on top of the paint layer (3) (as shown in Figure 3) and polished, a spotted pattern consisting of three colors will be formed as shown in Figure 4 (5). I can do it.

Effects of the Invention The invention is based on the fact that colored particles of a different color are mixed into the paint applied to the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod, and the surface is polished to expose the colored particles to form a decorative pattern. It is possible to efficiently and easily form a high-grade polishing device #* without requiring the troublesome labor and skill required to form a rough surface as in the polishing method using multiple coats.
