Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a propulsion apparatus and suppress the reduction of the propulsion efficiency by accommodating and arranging all the propulsion apparatuses such as screw and rudder inside the ship bottom wall. CONSTITUTION:A screw 1 and a rudder 2 are installed into a room 4 partitioned by a ship bottom wall 3 and abulkhead 15 extending inside. The screw 1 is operated by a driving apparatus 18, and the rudder 2 is operated by a steering apparatus. A water taking-in opening 6 is formed on a part of the ship bottom wall 3, and serves as a water inflow passage for the screw 1. Lattices, net 7, etc. suitable for the opening 6 are installed to suppress the intrusion of foreign materials into the room 4. Therefore, the breakage trouble of a propulsion apparatus due to the running ashore or the collision with drifting woods in navigation is prevented, and the entanglement of nets and seaweeds onto the screw is prevented. Further, the necessity of lifting-up the propulsion apparatus on anchorage is obviated.

In a conventional ship, as shown in Fig. 1, the propulsion device 2
0 is installed outside the hull 19, and its screw 14 and grip part 17 protrude below the bottom wall of the ship, and if they become entangled with seaweed or the like and become inoperable, operational safety will be significantly hindered.
Ta. In addition, in ports where the tides are high and low, there were many accidents in which the paddles or screws broke because people forgot to lift the paddles or screws. In order to prevent such accidents, a method is adopted in which, for example, a hydraulic tilt device 13 is attached to the propulsion device 20 to tilt and lift the propulsion device.
For those who actually operate ships, it is not only a fool's errand that requires extra expensive equipment, but it is also impossible to instantly discover and avoid shallow water or driftwood under the bottom of the ship during navigation. Yes, it was extremely inconvenient.

To explain the present invention in detail based on the drawings, as shown in Fig. 2, the ship according to the present invention includes a bottom wall 3 and a bulkhead 15L4x4bjpx461outf1lu! It has 4 Tsuka I+-1 Tobin Kaji 2. screw
1 is actuated by a suitable known drive device 18, and the paddle 2 is also operated by a known suitable steering device (not shown). A water intake opening 6 is provided in a part of the bottom wall 3 to communicate the chamber 4 to the outside of the ship and form a flowing water inlet to the scree S-1. In order to prevent foreign objects (driftwood, seaweed, etc.) from entering the chamber 4, the opening 6 may be provided with a suitable grid, net, etc. 7. An acceleration tube 5 is provided behind the screw 1 (to the left in FIG. 2) in the chamber 4, and a paddle 2 is arranged near the rear end of this acceleration tube. The accelerating tube 5 has a constriction part (reduced diameter part) 5m in the middle to restrict the flow path as shown in the figure, in order to suppress the cavitation silane phenomenon caused by the mixing of air due to the operation of the screen. This constriction part 5m also has the function of increasing the flow velocity of the fluid from the screen: s, -1 and sending it backward as a jet stream, thereby increasing the propulsion efficiency. In order to facilitate drainage from the accelerating tube 5, semicircular openings 16 are provided at the ends of the accelerating tube on both sides of the paddle 20.

A drainage opening 12 is provided in the part of the bottom wall facing the outlet of the acceleration tube 5.
is provided so that the jet stream from the acceleration tube 5 is discharged to the rear of the vessel to provide propulsion for the vessel. Note that this drainage opening 12 becomes a water intake opening when the ship is moving backwards, so a suitable net, lattice, etc. It is good to have one.

In addition, a water line 10 is provided on the arch-shaped bulkhead 15 at the rear of the acceleration tube.
An eaves plate 9 is provided at a position 5 to 10 cn1 below to prevent a large amount of air from being sucked into the chamber 4 when moving backward.

In addition, in order to increase the water absorption efficiency in the water suction opening 6 in order to increase the propulsion speed, as shown in Fig. 2.3, the dimensions of the water suction opening 60 are made sufficiently large, and this pipe is used for guiding water to one water suction opening 6. A pair of protrusions 11 having a width of about 5 crn are arranged on the outer surface of the bottom wall 3 in front of the opening so as to converge toward the rear.

FIG. 6 shows a ship according to another embodiment of the invention. For example, when the distance between the waterline and the bottom wall 3 of a recreational fishing boat is very short, it becomes difficult to store a large propulsion device inside the bottom of the boat. In such a case, two small propulsion devices are placed side by side in the chamber 4, as shown in FIG. The structure of each propulsion device may be the same as that of the previous embodiment, and each propulsion device may be provided with an acceleration pipe 5, a water suction opening 6, and a common drainage opening 12.

In this case, a partition wall 21 is provided between the propulsion devices to separate the chamber 4 into two in order to prevent the propulsion devices from interfering with each other and causing a mixed flow and deteriorating the operation. In this embodiment, the number of scree 1, accelerator tube 5, etc. is 2, but on the other hand, even if these are made smaller, the overall propulsion efficiency does not decrease, so it is convenient to apply it to a shallow ship with water.

Due to the above structure, in the ship of the present invention, the propulsion device (screw, paddle, etc.) is fixedly stored inside the hull inside the bottom wall, so there is no risk of collision with shallow water or driftwood during navigation. There are no accidents caused by screws, and there is no need for nets or seaweed to get wrapped around the screw and make it inoperable. Further, since there is no need to lift the propulsion device when berthed, there is no need for an extra tilt device, and excellent features such as being able to be safely berthed in a port are obtained.
