Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the thrust of a side thruster to be changed in magnitude only by changing the direction of an impeller duct, by providing the impeller duct pivotably in a horizontal plane within a hole for mounting the side thruster. CONSTITUTION:A hull 1 has a side thruster mounting hole 2a, in which an impeller duct 12 is mounted such that it can be rotated horizontally by means of a rotating shaft 13. An impeller 5 is disposed within the impeller duct 12 and connected with an engine 10 through gears 6 and 8. The impeller duct 12 is arranged so as to be swung horizontally by transmitting the output of a duct rotating engine 17 to the rotating shaft 13 through gears 14 and 15. Since the impeller duct 12 can be rotated within the side thruster mounting hole 2a, the thrust of the side thruster can be adjusted easily.

動機によシ駆動されるインペラと、上記インペラの回転
とは無関係に上記インペラダクトを鉛直軸の周シに回動
する駆動手段とを具えたことを特徴とする。

在に貫通して船体1内に延び、軸受19を介して出力軸
9を同軸的に内蔵する中空のダクト回動nl+、14は
ダクト回転11113の上端に嵌着されダクト回動用エ
ンジン17の出力軸16に嵌着された歯車15に歯合す
る歯車、18はインペラダクト12の下面中心に下方に
突設されると\もにサイドスラスタ−装備孔2aを水蜜
かつ回動自在に貫通するダクト回動軸で、ダクト回動軸
18はダクト回動軸13と同一軸線上にある。

上記インペラダクト内に同軸的に内蔵され船内に設けら
れた原動機によシ駆動されるインペラと、」−記インペ
ラの回転とは無関係に上記インペラダクトを鉛直軸の周
シに回動する駆動手段とを具えたことによシ、操船及び
操作容易かつ経済的々サイドスラスタ−を得るから1本
発明は産業上極めて有益なものである。
