Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a half-shaded window for a vehicle lightly and inexpensively, by a method wherein either precolored resin and colorless resin are injected from both ends respectively or the colorless resin is injected after a coloring ingredient has been spread into a mold beforehand, in the inside of the mold. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with injection of colorless synthetic resin from one side sprue 4 and gate 6, precolored synthetic resin is injected from the other side sprue 5 and gate 7 which are being tried to turn into half-shadow. In this instance, injection quantity and timing to each of the sprues 4, 5 are adjusted so that each resin is filled in a desired sphere. As for a separate invention, coloring ingredients such as pigment and dye have been spread into a part of a cavity 3 which is tried to turn into the half-shading beforehand, over which colorless synthetic resin is injected through the sprue 4 and the gate 6.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to the production of 1-fusiate windows for vehicles, in which the upper or lower part of the window glass of an automobile or the windshield of a motorcycle screen is colored and made translucent. It is about the method.

Conventionally, when a part of a vehicle window is colored to make it semi-transparent, this is done by forming a colored, semi-transparent silicone hard coat layer on the desired part of the surface of a transparent plate made of polycarbonate or the like. However, since the coloring material is expensive, adding it later involves a lot of loss and costs are high. In addition, both transparent plates sandwiching the colored translucent film A% were pasted in the desired range between the two transparent plates.

Although it is also possible to manufacture them together, this method requires a large number of man-hours and is expensive, and because it uses two transparent plates, it is not easy to reduce the weight.

The invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks, and its object is to provide a method for manufacturing a half shade window for a vehicle in a lightweight manner and at a low cost.

FIG. 7 is a schematic perspective view of a mold used for carrying out the seventh invention;
FIG. 2 shows the same sectional view, and this mold has a cavity 3 in the shape of a vehicle window formed by a male mold 1 and a female mold 2, and the female mold 2Vc on the fixed side is located at both longitudinal ends. It has sprues 4.5 extending from the sides toward the center, one sprue 4 communicating with a gage 6 provided near one longitudinal end of the cavity 3, and the other sprue 5 communicating with a gage 6 near the other end. It communicates with gate 7 provided at The male mold 1 is fixed to a movable platen (not shown) and is movable], and the sprue 4.5 is connected to the nozzle of an injection molding machine (not shown), but these devices themselves are not commonly used. Since this is a matter of some kind, the details will be omitted.

In the present invention, a colorless synthetic resin material (abbreviated as colorless material) is injected from the sprue 4 and gate 6 on the negative side, and a colorless material is injected from the sprue 5 and gate 7 on the other side, which is to be half-shaded. In the case of 3, in which pigments, dyes, etc. are mixed in advance and a pre-colored synthetic resin material (abbreviated as colored material) is injected, the injection timing is adjusted to each sprue 4.5, and the colored material is injected into the cavity 3. Fill the desired area within the tube and fill the remaining area with the colorless material. After the injected molten material has cooled and solidified, the male mold 1 is opened and the molded product is expanded as usual, and the above method produces a half-shade window that is partially colored and translucent. is obtained.

Taking the case of a windshield installed on the front of a motorcycle as an example, depending on the selection of the gate through which the colored material is injected, the upper part of the windshield can be half-shaded (part (A)) as shown in Figure 3, or the windshield shown in Figure D can be used. The lower part is made into a half-shade (shade part) so that a light windshield can be obtained. This half-shade windshield has the effect of weakening direct light to the meter panel, making it easier to see meters, and softening sunlight.

FIG. 5 is a schematic perspective view of a mold used in the embodiment of the invention in FIG. will be added and the explanation will be omitted. In this second invention, a coloring component such as a pigment or dye is sprayed in advance on the part of the cavity 3 that is to be half-shaded (the sprayed part is indicated by hatching (C)), and then the sprue τ4 and the gate A colorless synthetic resin material is injected from step 6. By the above method, a half-shade window can be obtained which has a colored semi-transparent area in the area where the coloring component is distributed or a wider area thereof, and a transparent area in the remaining area.

Note that the gate does not necessarily have to be provided on one end side of the cavity 3, but if it is used as in the embodiment, it is provided near one end in the longitudinal direction and the gate is provided near one end of the cavity 3.
Since only 25A and the like are injected, the flow of the molten material in the cavity 3 is not a disturbed flow, but a smoothly spreading flow as shown by the arrow in the figure, resulting in highly transparent molding after cooling and assimilation. Goods can be obtained. The range in which the coloring component is sprayed is preferably set to an appropriate range in consideration of the flow of the molten material.

As explained above, according to the method of the present invention, half-shading is performed at the same time as injection molding, so unlike the method in which a colored semi-transparent layer is formed on the surface of a molded transparent plate afterward, it is expensive. Loss of certain coloring materials can be eliminated, cost can be reduced, and weight reduction can be easily achieved, unlike when two transparent plates are pasted together.
