Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce easily a bottomed hollow body having the wall thickness sufficient for required physical strength by constituting a male mold of a material having elastic deformability, coating a low-melting metal to the required part on the outside circumferential surface thereof, solidifying said metal and removing the soldified metal. CONSTITUTION:A polyurethane male die 1 which consists of a supporting part 2 and a molding part 3 and of which the outside circumferential surface consists of a long- necked bottle shape is used. Said mold 1 is dipped in a molten bath of a low melting alloy to deposit said alloy on the mold and is then dried to form a deposited layer 4 over the entire outside circumferential surface of the upper part of the supporting part 2 and the part 3. The layer 4 is then removed by utilizing the elastic deformation performance of the mold 1 and a core for a molding die which is an intended product is obtd.

The conventional method for obtaining a hollow body with a bottom includes: trapping a cylindrical body, which is a molding material heated and softened, in a mold, placing a nozzle inside the cylindrical body, and blowing gas into the cylindrical body through the nozzle; Blow molding method, in which a cylindrical body is blown into the shape of a mold, (2) A split-type sealed container containing fluid molding material inside is rotated, and the molding material is applied to the inner circumferential surface of the container by centrifugal force. A rotational molding method in which the split mold airtight container is removed after uniform adhesion and solidification; (3) After immersing the male mold in a synthetic resin solvent solution or latex rubber liquid, the male mold is pulled out and the outer circumference of the male mold is removed. A dip molding method in which the synthetic resin or latex rubber layer stuck to the surface is solidified and removed from the male mold, (4) a molding material is put into the molding cavity formed by closing the split molds, There is a slush molding method in which the molding material in contact with the inner surface of the molding cavity and the molding material in the vicinity thereof is solidified, and the remaining molding material flows out of the mold while maintaining fluidity. (1) When using the blow molding method, the wall thickness of the hollow body obtained is not constant, and it is not possible to obtain a hollow body with ribs integrally molded on the inner peripheral surface, and (2) rotation. (3) When using a molding method, the shape of the hollow body obtained is limited to one with a circular cross section, and it is impossible to obtain a hollow body having ribs integrally molded on the inner peripheral surface. The dip molding method described in (4) is limited to a hollow body that is flexible, and the slush molding method described in (4) cannot produce a hollow body that has ribs integrally molded on the inner peripheral surface. They each have their own drawbacks.
