In this previously proposed signal transmission device, electrical signals generated from multiple signal sources on a rotating body are transmitted as optical signals from around the rotating body to the stationary body, thereby achieving signal transmission by time sharing. This allows the signal transmission device to be compactly housed between the end of the rotating shaft and the bearing that supports it, but there is a problem in that it requires a highly accurate synchronization signal.

The aim is to provide a transmission device.

A light-emitting element that uses a signal generated from a signal source on the rotating body as an optical signal is attached around the rotating body, and an annular light-reflecting space whose circumferential surface is a light-reflecting surface is formed around the light-emitting element attachment position. A light receiving element is provided on a part of the outer periphery of the light reflecting space.

During multiple reflections within the reflection space, the light enters the light receiving element and is converted into an electrical signal. Therefore, signals can always be transmitted regardless of the rotational position of the rotating body, and by arranging the signal transmission system consisting of the light emitting element, light reflection space and light receiving element in multiple ways,
Multi-channel data on the rotating body can be simultaneously transmitted to the stationary body.

The light emitting element 3 receives a signal generated from the signal source 2 as an optical signal and is inserted into a transparent plate 4 which forms an annular light reflecting space around the position where the light emitting element is attached, from the inner circumference side thereof. It is something that is projected.

A removed portion 8 of the light reflecting surface 5 is provided in a part of the outer periphery of the transparent plate 4, and a light receiving element 7 such as a phototransistor is placed opposite thereto. Therefore, the optical signal from the light emitting element 3 is transmitted to the light emitting element 3.

Multi-channel data in the body can be simultaneously transmitted to the stationary system side. In the figure, 10 is a shielding plate interposed between each transparent plate 4, and the surface thereof can be used as a light reflecting surface if necessary.

It is also possible to convert the frequency into a frequency corresponding to , and send it to the light emitting element 3 as a pulse train signal.

It is desirable that a portion of the body 1 other than the portion where the light emitting element 3 is disposed is also used as a light reflecting surface. Furthermore, when the projected light from the light emitting element 3 is projected as a spot light directed in a substantially constant direction, when the projected light from the light emitting element 3 is projected from the surface of the rotating body 1 in the radial direction, The reflected light on the light reflecting surface 5 on the outer periphery of the transparent plate 4 returns toward the light emitting element 3, so it is effective to tilt the direction of light emitted from the light emitting element 3 to some extent with respect to the radiation direction. .
