Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a fault of a master station including a satellite circuit by providing an independent monitor device and an artificial slave station outside the master station, and forming a closed loop test route which is folded at the satellite among the monitor device, the master station, the satellite and the artificial slave station. CONSTITUTION:A satellite exchange system includes a switchboard 2 of master station, satellite 7, subscriber 4 of master station and a subscriber 9 of slave station. An external monitor device 13 of master station and an artificial slave station 10 are provided independently outside the switchboard 2. A monitor device 13 is provided with a selection signal generating circuit 14, selection signal receiving circuit 15, test signal receiving circuit 16, level measuring device 17, and a switch circuit 18, etc. The monitor circuit 13, the master station 1, the satellite 7 and the station 10 forms a closed loop test route which is folded at the satellite 10.
