Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an inspecting work by radially increasing a space between the body of a rotational shaft and the bore of a thrust collar. CONSTITUTION:A rotational shaft 21 of a thrust bearing radially increases a space between the outer periphery of a body 21a and the bore of a thrust collar 22 integrally formed to draw a thrust pad 23 to the space side. A plurality of pads 23 are disposed circumferentially in a sector shape, and, the collar 22 is rotatably supported from below. The pads 23 are supported through a retainer 24, a pivot 6 and an annular supporting base 25 to the lower interior of a bearing oil tank 26. Further, a guide bearing 27 and an oil cooler 28 are provided. Thus, an oil weir 30 of the tank 26 is removed, the pads 23 are drawn on a drawing guide frame, moved down by an elevator and can be inspected without necessity of drawing the cooler 28 to facilitate the inspecting work.

This invention was made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the above-mentioned conventional methods, and the space between the outer diameter part of the shaft body of the rotating shaft and the inner diameter part of the thrust collar is enlarged in the radial direction. Then, the oil weir of the bearing oil tank is removed, a drawer guide is placed on the side of the empty space, the thrust pad is pulled out onto the drawer guide, and the thrust pad is lowered by a lifting device for inspection. The container is annular and integrated, and the pad inspection tank does not require any work to disassemble and reinstall. It also eliminates the need for an insertion hole on the outside of the bearing oil tank, which simplifies the structure and makes inspection work easier. The purpose of this paper is to provide an inspection method for type thrust bearings.
