Claims

In a gear pump in which a side plate is provided between the side surface of the gear and the bearing, and a seal member is interposed between the side plate and the bearing to form a pressure compensating chamber, a side plate is provided between the side plate and the bearing, and a pressure compensation chamber is formed. 2. - A notch is provided at the outer edge of the side plate spanning the entire thickness of the side plate, and a seal is inserted between the outer edge of the side plate near the notch and the seal member between the notch position and the discharge port side.
