うにしたものにおいて、該直流要素２をチョークコイル
２０で構成し、該チョークコイル２０の中間タップＡを
介して該交流電源３の両端に、第１双′方向性２端子サ
イリスタ４と双方向性３端子サイリスタ５・の直列接続
回路から成るパルス発生回路６を接続し、該放電灯１の
両端に、第２双方向性２端子サイリスタ７と抵抗８の直
列液−続回路から成る分圧回路９を接続し１、該分圧回
路９の分圧点Ｂを該双方向性３端子サイリスタ５のゲー
ト端子５ｇに接続したことを特徴とする放電灯の点灯装
