Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve setting accuracy of the captioned cathode-ray tube by performing the rotary angle setting between a bulb and an electron gun while using a graduation line provided on a bulb face as the reference and monitoring an inserting position of the electron gun while using an optical system. CONSTITUTION:A bulb 12 is put on the bulb holding table 35 of a bulb holding mechanism 34 while clamping the neck part 15 with a clamp unit 36. A rotary regulation dial 38 is operated so that the X and Y directions of a graduation line projected on a monitor television 44 may agree with the reference lines 45 and 46. Next, an electron gun 13 is mounted on an electron gun holding mechanism 48. A ray 52 is emitted from a light source 53 aiming at the through hole 51 of the electron gun 13 while operating the rotary regulation dial 49 so that an area of an exposed image may be the maximum. The electron gun holding mechanism 48 is made to rise so far as to hit a stopper pulley 58 by an insertion mechanism 57 while operating an inserting position fine regulating handle 62 so that an inserting position setting line set up in an optical system 71 may agree with a prescribed position of the electron gun 13.

In general, a cathode ray tube has an external appearance as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and a scale line α as shown in FIG. 1 is provided on the face surface. This cathode ray tube has an electron gun α shown in Figure 3 inserted into a glass bulb a, and a plurality of barbs α provided on the circumference of the electron gun α as shown in Figure 4. After holding the electron gun at a predetermined position inside the neck part a of the valve (2), the electron gun is assembled by welding them together using a sealing machine.

In this case, the vertical central axis (12α) of the bulb (6) and the vertical central axis (13) of the electron gun must coincide with each other, and the mutual rotation angles about these must be in a predetermined relationship. , and the position along the central axis (12 direction) of the electron gun 1 in the valve 04 (corresponding to the insertion depth) is
Being in a predetermined position is extremely important for the performance of the cathode ray tube. Therefore, in assembling, it is necessary to set these positional relationships with high accuracy before the welding. Conventionally, these settings were performed as follows.

Since this is done based on the outer shape of Marubu (2), if there is a positional rack in the rotational direction between the outer shape of Pulp α and the scale line (11) shown in Fig. 1, the electronic Gun (6)
The rotation angle setting with respect to the original setting partner (scale &1oI) will no longer be performed accurately. Also, Ji J4eα′
I) Since the manual insertion method relies on alignment using (c) and the operator's visual sense, the positioning accuracy is not high, and the electron gun may be bent during insertion, or the position may be corrected after insertion. There are problems such as deformation of the gun and poor workability.

Here, if the rotation angle of ) on the electron gun is as specified,
Since the through-hole and the ray ring coincide, the area of the light-receiving image projected on the monitor TV is maximized. On the other hand, if the rotation angle of the electron gun () is outside the specified angle,
The area of the received light image becomes correspondingly smaller. Therefore, if you operate the rotation adjustment dial (to) so that the area is maximized while monitoring this received light image with the monitor TV ring,
The rotation angle of the electron gun (c) can be set accurately.

As described above, according to the present invention, since the rotation angle of the valve and the electron gun is set based on the scale line provided on the face of the valve, there is no variation between the pulp outer shape and the position of the scale line. This can also be ignored, improving the accuracy of setting the rotation angle. Furthermore, since the insertion position of the electron gun is monitored using an optical system, there are fewer errors and the setting accuracy is similarly improved. Furthermore, since the valve and the electron gun are inserted in alignment with the reference line for the tube axis, bending and deformation of the electron gun can be prevented, and automation can be easily accommodated.
