Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the stable tape drive and to reduce the accuracy required to each parts by decreasing the diameter of the center part of a hole formed at the center of a tape guide compared with upper and lower end parts of the hole and tilting the tape guide in accordance with the tape driving surface. CONSTITUTION:When a tape 15 is driven with an inclination to the circumferential surfaces of tape guides 4 and 5, these guides 4 and 5 are tilted on a fulcrum set at a small diameter part at the center between holes 4a and 5a of the guides 4 and 5 and in accordance with the tape inclination. This eliminates the partial sag of the tape 15 to ensure the smooth drive of the tape. For the displacement of the guides 4 and 5 produced along the tape driving surface, the guides 4 and 5 are slightly held upward with their circumferential surfaces set along the tape driving surface owing to the bias tension caused by the driving of the tape 15 although the lower surface sides of the guide 4 and 5 are held by a plane since the weight of these guides are very small. As the revolution of the guides 4 and 5 are inhibited, the unstable tape drive due to the outer circumferential vibration can be avoided.

Conventionally, a tape cassette is provided with a rotatable tape guide roller for running the tape along an opening formed in the front surface of the cassette. However, if the dimensional accuracy of this guide roller is not good, it will rotate with a 1 degree inclination, causing center runout, which will actually worsen the running of the tape.

Here, to explain in detail the tape guide bodies 4 and 5, the tape guide bodies 4 and 5 are made of fluororesin or the like and have a coefficient of friction with the tape 16 of 0.15 or less, and one of them is particularly shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 3, the hole 4a has a diameter smaller at the center than at the upper and lower ends, and is tapered from the center in the vertical direction, and has a protruding piece at the lower end of the circumference. 4b is formed.

On the other hand, the protrusion 4b is inserted between the half 1 and the stop bar 1 for preventing the rotation of the tape guide 4.
7b is provided, whereby the tape guide body 4 guides the tape in a state where rotation is restrained. The tape guide 5 side has a similar structure, with the protruding piece being 6b and the stoppers being 18a and 1sb.

With the above configuration, the head, pinch roller, etc. are inserted through the openings 8 to 12, the tape is run by the capstan and the pinch roller, and recording and playback are performed by the head, as in a general tape recorder. However, in this case, the height of the tape running on the head section is regulated by a tape guide inserted together with the head and the like.

In the tape guides 4, 6, when the tape 16 is run in an inclined state with respect to the circumferential surface of the guides 4, 6, the guides 4, 6 close their holes 4a.

The small diameter portion at the center of the tape 6a is used as a fulcrum and the tape 15 is tilted to follow the tape's inclination, thereby eliminating any partial slack in the tape 15 and allowing smooth tape running.

Incidentally, the displacement of the tape guides 4, 5 along the tape running surface is caused by the displacement of the tape 16 even if the lower surfaces of the tape guides 4, 6 are supported by a flat surface because the tape guides 4, 6 are very light. Due to the deflection tension caused by running, the tape is slightly lifted upward and the circumferential surface follows the tape running surface.

Therefore, since the tape guides 4 and 5 are prevented from rotating, there is no possibility of unstable tape running due to the outer periphery wobbling unlike conventional rotating ones. Since the tape is automatically tilted to follow the running surface of the tape that is about to be guided, the tape runs smoothly. In addition, by forming the tape guide surfaces of the tape guides 4 and 5 to have a coefficient of friction with the tape of 0.15 or less, the load can be made to be about the same as that of a rotating guide roller, and an increase in tape running load can be reduced. It can be resolved.

If the inclination of the tape guides 4 and 6 is too steep and the tape running position deviates significantly, it is recommended to provide flanges at the upper and lower ends of the tape guides, or to install tape running height regulating sections at the front and rear of the tape guides. Bye.

As described above, the present invention is capable of stabilizing tape running with a simple configuration, and can also reduce the accuracy required for each component.
