Claims

A lower rail that is fixed to the floor surface and extends in the front-rear direction, an upper rail that is attached to the lower rail so as to be slidable in the front-rear direction and supports the seat, and a rail that is interposed between these two rails so that it can be moved smoothly. In the seat track, the locking mechanism is provided between the two rollers in the lower rail. an actuation plate having a predetermined length extending in the front-rear direction; and elastically supporting the actuation plate at both ends of the actuation plate, spaced apart from the bottom of the lower rail by a predetermined height, and abutting the outer periphery of both rollers, respectively. A pair of front and rear flexible support plates in contact with each other are rotatably attached to one of the two rails via a spring member, and the actuating plate is pressed from above to flex the plates, thereby an operating lever having a tip interposed between the lower rail and the roller to restrict the transfer of the roller and bringing the operating plate into contact with the bottom of the lower rail; and an operating lever provided between the operating plate and the bottom of the lower rail. a locking mechanism for a seat track, characterized in that it is comprised of an engaging means that engages when the operating plate comes into contact with the bottom of the seat track to restrict movement of the operating plate in a plurality of steps in the longitudinal direction.
