Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate dead water zone at the lower part of main body of the hot-water reserving tank and permit to obtain hot-water from any part in the tank by a method wherein a pipe, opened at the lower part of a jacket type heat exchanger and the upper part of the same, is provided in the main body of the hot-water reserving tank so as to be contacted with the same heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 11 for sucking dead water in the bottom of hot-water reserving tank 5 is provided in the same tank 5 so as to be contacted with the inner wall of the tank and the upper end thereof is opened at a place higher than the jacket type heat exchanger 8 while the lower end thereof is opened at a place lower than the same heat exchanger 8. When heat exchange is started, water in the pipe 11 is warmed soon since it is contacted with the heat exchanger 8, thermal expansion is caused therein and obtains buoyancy. Upward stream of the water is generated in the pipe 11 by the buoyancy and the water is sucked up from the dead water zone whereat the lower end of the pipe is opened. Accordingly, warmed water in the upper part of the tank descends with time and the dead water zone at the lower part of the tank 5 is eliminated whereby hot-water may be obtained from any part in the same tank 5.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Technical Field] The present invention relates to a hot water storage tank used in an indirect heating forced circulation solar water heater.

Conventionally, in this type of solar water heater, one using a jacket type heat exchanger around the outer periphery of the hot water storage tank body has been proposed. Conventional hot water storage tanks with jacket heat exchangers are often made of thin, durable stainless steel for ease of manufacture, heat exchange performance, and cost. The main body of the hot water tank is pressure resistant and WII! In consideration of corrosion, the mainstream was a rice bag shape in which a body plate was welded between two bowl-shaped end plates.

However, with this structure, the jacket type heat exchanger cannot be installed over the entire height of the hot water tank/main body. Therefore, the part of the hot water storage tank that is lower than the bottom of the jacket heat exchanger becomes a dead area where no heat exchange takes place.
After the heat exchange was completed, as time passed, heat conduction from the high temperature area at the top accelerated the temperature gradient within the tank body. In addition, when used as a heat storage tank for a solar water heater, after collecting heat, the water supply pressure pushes up from the bottom of the hot water storage tank and hot water is supplied from the top, but because there is a dead area, the hot water temperature drops with less hot water than the hot water storage capacity. had begun.

Attempts have been made to eliminate the dead zone by providing a hollow, thin-walled cylindrical body 2 within a hot water storage tank main body 1, as shown in FIG. 3 is a jacket type heat exchanger, and 4 is a hot water supply pipe. By providing the cylindrical body 2, it is intended to cause natural convection as shown by the arrows. However, since the temperature difference between the outer circumferential portion A and the inner circumferential portion B of the cylindrical body 2 was small, convection as shown by the arrow did not occur much, and the dead area could not be sufficiently eliminated.

5b and a body plate 50 are joined by welding or the like to form a rice bag shape. A hot water supply pipe 6 is connected to the upper part of the hot water storage tank main body 5, and a water supply pipe 7 and a drain discharge pipe (not shown) are connected to the lower part. A jacket type heat exchanger 8 is installed on the outer periphery of the hot water storage tank body 5.

Inside the hot water storage tank body 5, a pipe 11 for sucking dead water is provided in contact with the inner wall, and its upper and lower ends are open above and below the jacket heat exchanger 8, respectively.

That is, when heat exchange is started, the water in the pipe 11 is quickly warmed up because it is in contact with the jacket heat exchanger 8, causing thermal expansion and gaining buoyancy. As a result, an upward flow is generated within the pipe 11, sucking up water from the lower end of the pipe 11 from what was previously a dead area. As a result, water that warms at the top descends over time, preventing the formation of dead zones.

By simply installing the pipe 11 in this way, the occurrence of dead areas can be easily prevented at low cost. Furthermore, if the pipe 11 is firmly fixed, the strength of the hot water tank body 50 will be increased.
