Abstract

PURPOSE:To apply uniformly oil to a fixing roller, and also to generate no uneven rotation by providing a partition in a hollow roller, and forming plural oil containing chambers in a point symmetrical position relation against the center of the roller. CONSTITUTION:As for an applying roller 20, a supporting shaft 26 is provided projectingly on both ends, and said roller can be driven to rotate against a fixing roller by supporting a supporting shaft 26 by a bearing (not shown in the figure). A hollow roller 21 consists of a metal having a good thermal conductivity, such as a sluminum, copper, etc., and in its inside, plural partitions 21a are provided in the center direction in a poiit symmetrical position relation against the center of the hollow roller 21. Also, on its center part, a cylindrical partition 21b is provided, and by the partition 21a, 21b, plural oil containing chambers 24 are formed along the outside periphery of the hollow roller 21. In this way, when the roller is driven to rotate, oil 22 oozes out separately from each containing chamber 24, and it is permeated and diffused uniformly to the whole area of an oil impregnating layer 25 without generating a difference in the upper part and the lower part of the applying roller 20.

However, when the amount of anti-offset oil (12) inside the applicator roller (10) is small, the amount of oil (12) that oozes out is different between the upper and lower parts of the applicator roller (1o), and the difference is particularly large after the rotation starts. There was an inconvenience that the oil was not evenly applied to the surface of the heating roller (1). Furthermore, if the viscosity of the oil (I2) used is high, the oil (12) will accumulate at the bottom of the application roller (10), which will affect the weight balance of the rotating body and cause the rotation of the Sadaharuwa-ra to deteriorate. On the other hand, there were cases where slippage occurred and no oil was applied to the surface of the fixing roller at all.

FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment, in which a heating source (27) is provided inside the cylindrical partition (2]1) of the oil supply application roller (20) of the S1 embodiment, and the other configuration is similar to that of the S1 embodiment. Since this is the same as the first embodiment, its explanation will be omitted. In this device, since the oil (22) can be heated from inside the applicator roller (20'), even when using a high viscosity oil (22), the oil (22) flows from the beginning of use. It is possible to reliably improve the properties and apply sufficient oil.

Effects As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention provides an oil supply application roller comprising a hollow roller that accommodates offset prevention oil so that it can seep out, and an oil-impregnated layer provided on the outer periphery of the roller. Since a partition is provided inside and a plurality of oil storage chambers are formed in a point-symmetrical position with respect to the center of the roller, oil oozes out from each storage chamber, allowing oil to be evenly applied to the fixing roller while rotating. It has good balance and does not cause uneven rotation.
