Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a large amount of an air volume by reduced electric power by reducing an ozone amount and air passing resistance, by providing an electrode for vaporizing an ozone treating solution in an air passage and making a vaporization amount controllable. CONSTITUTION:When a corona current is flowed from corona generation electrodes 11, 11' to opposed electrodes 12, 12', ion wind is generated in an ionization part. At the same time, high voltage is applied between the aforementioned electrodes 11, 11' and electrode 19 for spraying an ozone treating solution 20 and said ozone treating solution 20 is sucked and atomized, and reacted with ozone in the aforementioned ion wind to eliminate ozone. The aforementioned electrode 19 is provided so as to be opposed to a vaporization port provided so as to vaporize the treating solution 20 and ion wind is formed at the vaporization part. In this case, the treating solution 20 becomes much when the ion wind is generated while becomes small at the time of stoppage and a vaporization amount is automatically controlled and dust in air is collected by a charged dust collection part. Therefore, ozone generated by corona is not adsorbed by activated carbon and purified air is blown from a blowing port 16.

In order to make the ion wind stronger than a certain level, it was necessary to flow a large amount of ion current. However, due to the flow of ionic current, ozone is generated, which has a negative impact on the human body and the parts used, so an attempt was made to remove ozone using activated carbon, but the ionic wind force was weak, and the basic characteristics such as the fact that the air volume could not be produced due to activated carbon. Ionic wind was not put into practical use because it also damaged the

Activated carbon (4) increases ventilation resistance and reduces air volume. In order to prevent this reduction in air volume, the ion current is further increased, but corona also increases, and it is necessary to increase the contact area of activated carbon, which increases ventilation resistance. There were problems such as the large size and the impossibility of practical use.

In the present invention, in the above configuration, the operation of generating the ion wind and collecting the dust in the air in the dust collecting section is the same as in the conventional example. However, the ionization electrode (11), (H/)
Because a high voltage is applied to the atomizing electrode wheel, the ozone treatment liquid is sucked, ejected, and atomized.

The ozone generated in the ionization section reacts with the sprayed and vaporized ozone treatment liquid and disappears. In this way, by applying a high voltage to the part facing the introduction path α for the ozone treatment liquid (A), the ozone treatment liquid (A) is atomized into the passage or vaporized by the ventilation air. Therefore, the amount of ozone treatment liquid increases when the ion wind is generated and decreases when the ion wind is stopped, and the amount of vaporization can be automatically controlled.

In the above embodiment, the ionizing wire was used as the counter electrode for atomizing the ozonated liquid, but a special atomizing electrode or an electrode on the dust collecting part side may be used. It is sufficient to form an electric field between the vaporizing port and the counter electrode to atomize or vaporize the liquid, and there is no pressure drop in the activated carbon, and the activated carbon can be produced in a small size and at a low cost.
