In recent years, so-called quartz clocks have been developed that use a quartz oscillator as a time standard and use a step motor to convert an electrical signal into mechanical motion to move hands to display the time. In particular, wristwatches are becoming smaller and thinner. Based on their structure, quartz watches can be broadly divided into the turtle block, the circuit block, the variable machine block, and the gear train block for display. In fact, many timepieces are assembled in blocks for ease of assembly, and the blocks are combined to form a single watch. If we try to further downsize here... In addition to miniaturization of each block, it is desired to integrate the blocks by overlapping each other.

This eliminates the need for parts such as screws to connect the blocks, and also saves space for fixing them. In particular, for small watches, there is a strong need for a combination of converter and gear train.
FIG. 1 is a plan view of both a conventional example and an embodiment of the present invention in which a converter and a gear train are stacked on each other based on the above concept.

In the figure, 1 is a battery, 2 is a circuit board that includes a crystal oscillator, circuits, etc. (not shown), 3 is a coil that includes a coil core made of magnetic material, 4 and 4' are stators made of magnetic material, and 5 is the rotor with permanent magnet 5', 6 is the first reduction wheel, 7 is the second reduction wheel, 8 is the second wheel to which the minute hand is attached, 9 is the daily car, and 1 is the hour wheel to which the hour hand is attached. It is. FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a cross-sectional arrangement of the stator and gear train support member shown in FIG. 1 designed using a conventional method. That is, the stator 4 is in close contact with the base plate 12. To describe the details below, a second wheel and pinion 8, a so-called hair train gear train, a second wheel and pinion wheel 9, and an hour wheel 10 are arranged on the lower side of the main plate 12, and the stators 4 and 4' are arranged in close contact with the upper side of the main plate. The rotor 5, the first reduction gear 6, and the second reduction gear 7 are supported by bearings provided on the gear train bridge 11 and the base plate 12. Second
The pinion 13 of the second reduction gear 7 passes through the main plate 12 and transmits rotation from the gear train bridge 11 side of the main plate 12 to the dial side from the reduction gear 7 to the second wheel 8, which is a hair train. . stay night 4
Since the second reduction gear 7 is heavy, it is necessary to provide a relatively large escape hole 14 or notch in the stator 4 in order to pass the pinion 13 through it.

This reduces the cross-sectional area of the feed passage of the stator 4 and disturbs the direction of the magnetic lines of force near the rotor 5, which affects the efficiency of the step motor, causing a decrease in electromechanical conversion efficiency. . This has a particularly large effect on miniaturized step motors. Furthermore, if the stator 4 is placed in the center of the watch as shown in Figure 1, and if the stator 4 is placed on the main plate as shown in Figure 2, the level of the stator 4 is determined by the cross-sectional placement conditions of the center, which limits the degree of freedom in design. This hinders the efficient use of space in the thickness direction.

That is, in the central part of the watch, in order to pivotally support the two-pointed wheel 8 and the wheel 10, it is necessary to form the central shaft 15 in the main plate 12 by embedding or cutting, and the supporting part of the central shaft 15 has the necessary parts for this purpose. A thick ground plate must be left. Therefore, the height of the central main plate is fixed, and if the stator is placed on it, the height of the stator 4 relative to the main plate 12 is limited to the same plane as the height of the central part. Further, the thickness of the watch is the sum of the height of the main plate in the center, the thickness of the stator 4, the thickness of the train wheel housing, and the thickness of the train wheel bridge 11. As mentioned above, by arranging the stators 4 and 4' on the main plate 12 as in the past, ■ the reduction in conversion efficiency caused by providing large holes or notches in the stator 4 can be avoided. It has drawbacks such as being restricted by the central part of the clock and hindering the efficient use of space.

In the present application, the stators 4, 4' are connected to the gear train bridge 11 instead of the main plate 12.
To provide a 4-inch, thin electronic clock that eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks by arranging the stator and gear train in close contact with each other, and does not affect the performance of a variable-speed mowing machine even when the stator and gear train are overlapped. It is in.

The planar arrangement is the same as in FIG. The components are the same as in FIG. 2, but the stators 4, 4' are arranged in close contact with the gear train bridge 11, and a reduction gear train is arranged between the stator 4 and the main plate 12'. . With this arrangement, the stator 4 only needs to be provided with a relatively small hole 14' through which the body for supporting the second reduction gear 7' passes, and the performance of the converter is hardly affected. do not have. Furthermore, the main plate 12'
It is also possible to leave only the central part with the thickness necessary to pull out the center shaft 15, and to pull in the part that receives the gear train and lower it down, so that the position of the gear train holder is lower than in the example shown in Fig. 2. can be made thinner. In addition, discussion series uke 11 and the said stage 4
, 4' can be integrated by spot welding etc. to make assembly easier. The shape of the train wheel bridge 11 can also be made small enough to support the train wheel. As mentioned above, by implementing the present invention, it is possible to use space efficiently, and since the stator and receiver can be integrated and treated as one part, the number of parts during assembly can be reduced and assembly time can be shortened. .

The bridge serves as a connecting member between the left and right yokes. The shape of the receiver should be small. Minimize holes in the stator. Since the cross-sectional arrangement of the stator can be effectively used, there is an advantage that it is easy to make an electronic timepiece having a step motor smaller and thinner. Although a crystal oscillator is used as the time reference signal source in the above description, any other time reference signal source may be used, such as a tone vibrator or the like.
