Claims

An optical sensor that transmits light from one side of a subject to the other side and detects a change in the amount of absorption of the transmitted light by the subject, wherein the subject is placed on a flexible film substrate. A light-emitting element and a light-receiving element are arranged at predetermined intervals corresponding to the size of the light-emitting element, and a transparent and flexible light-transmitting film is attached to the film substrate so as to cover the light-emitting element.
