In a headrest in which the headrest body is configured to be tiltable forward from an upright position with a core frame that also serves as a pair of stays that protrudes from the bottom surface of the body as a fixed center, the headrest body can be constantly returned to the upright position by a tension spring. A fan-shaped ratchet that rotates integrally with the main body is disposed inside the main body, and a pivotable end claw part of the core frame is biased by a spring and press-fits into engagement with the sector-shaped ratchet. A hook is installed, and a raised cam part is provided at the terminal end of the ratchet tooth to release the hook from the ratchet part, and a raised cam part is provided at the opposite starting end to return the released hook to the ratchet part.
