Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance anion generation efficiency, by forming ion generation needles to an ion stream generation electrode using a metal plate such as a punched metal plate. CONSTITUTION:Ion generation needles 7 are formed to the leading end of an ion stream generation electrode 1 comprising a metal plate formed of a flat plate, a punched metal plate or a metal net. This electrode 1 is combined with a partition plate 2 comprising a resin or paper having a flat plate shape, a punched metal plate shape or a metal net shape to be fixed to insulating boards 10 and a high voltage power source is connected to the terminal 9 of said electrode 1. By this structure, because no earth electrode is used, the generation of ozone and the danger of a spark are eliminated and a dust collection electrode generating an ion stream with good efficiency is obtained.
