Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the positions of two pictures on the obverse and the reverse of a paper to reliably coincide with each other, by a method wherein, in a device which accumulates a recording paper, wherein recording of a picture on the first surface is completed, in order to record a picture on the second surface, a means which displaces the position of the accumulated papers is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet P, in which recording of a picture on the first surface 1 is completed, is turned over by a turn over part R, carried by a carry belt 11, and accumulated on a paper accumulating plate 12 with its first surface down. When duplication of a given number of paper sheets is completed, the accumulated paper sheets are delivered one by one to the following process by means of a sheet feed roller 16, and recording of a picture on the second surface is effected. In which case, both side plates 13 and 13', which control and displace the accumulating position of the paper sheets, are mounted on the paper sheet accumulating plate 12, the side plates are driven by motors 14 and 14', and the positions are detected by sensors 15. In this constitution, the both side plates 13 and 13' are simultaneously moved in the same direction by a specified distance for displacement, and this causes the picture on the obverse of the paper sheet to reliably coincide with the position on the reverse of the paper sheet.

In a recording device such as a double-sided copying machine that records images on both sides of a sheet of paper, the paper after the image has been recorded on the first side is
After the sheets are once accumulated in an intermediate sheet stacking device provided on the paper conveyance path, the sheets are sent out one by one and a second image is recorded on the second side. Ordinary copying machines are designed so that when the original is placed in a reference position, the image on the original will be reproduced in the exact same position on the resulting copy. is not necessarily located in the center of the manuscript; rather, it is usually biased to one side due to binding margins, etc. When such a copy is made using double-sided copying, the positions of the side edges of the front and back sides of the same sheet of paper are misaligned, which often results in an unsightly result, or it is not possible to take a binding margin, which causes practical inconvenience.

As a method to solve this problem,
No. 30 or Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 54-43742, a prism is used to shift the timing when feeding the sheets once accumulated in the paper intermediate stacking section to the image-transfer section, to reduce the image slightly. A method has been proposed to create a margin by changing the position of the painter using a handshake, but the method of shifting the paper feed timing allows for displacement in the paper feed direction, but it is difficult to make a margin perpendicular to the paper feed direction, which is a large practical requirement. They have the disadvantage that they cannot be displaced in the direction of the beam, and those that use optical means such as image reduction or image displacement using a prism have the disadvantage that the apparatus is complicated.

After the image has been recorded on the first side, the sheet P is switched back and reversed at the reversing section indicated by R in the figure, and is transferred to the conveyor belt 11.
The sheets are conveyed by the paper stacker 12 and stacked with the first side facing down. Reference numeral 13 denotes a side plate for regulating and displacing the paper collection position 11, 14/14/ is a DC reversible motor for driving the right side plate of the office, and 15 is a plurality of sensors for detecting the position of the side plate. When a predetermined number of copies have been completed, the paper stacking board 12 is rotated to the position indicated by the dotted line in the figure, and the paper is set to the paper feed mode, and the paper that has been being traversed is fed out one by one by the paper feed roller 16, resulting in the 4C image shown in the figure. The image is sent to the transfer department and the image is recorded on the second side. When feeding is completed, the sheet stacking board is returned to its original position and set to stacking mode in preparation for the next copy start.

FIG. 2 is a plan view of the intermediate sheet stacking device. The sheets P conveyed by the conveyor belt 11 advance in the direction of the white arrow and are stacked 4ES between the side plates 13 and 13' on the sheet stacking plate 12. At this time, the center line of the paper coincides with the center line C of conveyance and storage, and the side plate 13, l:f'! : Both sides of the IC skein are in critical position. If the copied original @3 has a binding margin on one side and the first side is fS-summed with the first side down, the area between the dotted lines a and a' on the first side is the image area, If you copy the manuscript with the same layout to the second side, the image will be formed between b' and the front and back sides will shift to the left and right, making it impossible to take the margin for binding. It would also be unseemly in terms of external technique. In the present invention, the image position on the front and back sides is 1v by displacing the position of the paper fed for recording the image on the second side laterally by the amount of the difference between the image positions on the front and back sides.

The simplest and most reliable way to displace the paper position is to simultaneously move the side plates 13, 13' by the required amount in the same direction (in the figure, only X in the direction of the arrow) when the stacking of the papers is completed.

Figure 3 shows an example of hammering/r for displacing the side plate.
3.13' are the binions 1.8.1 each mounted on a DC reversible motor 14.14' with a reduction charge.
A rack 19.1g that meshes with 8' is fixed. The two DC reversible motors are constructed so that their rotational speeds are the same and their rotational directions can be determined independently by signals from a control section (not shown). The above DC reversible motor 14.14', pinion 18.18! and a rack 19.19' is provided on the lower surface of the sheet stacking board 12 (omitted in FIG. 3), and the rack 19.19' is used for inserting members through guide holes 17.1γ provided in the stacking board. It is attached to the side plate 13.1 provided on the upper surface of the paper stacking plate 12 by glue. The side plate 13 moves at the same speed along the guide hole 17.1γ toward the center or toward the outer edge of the sheet stacking plate 12 as the DC reversible motor 14.14' rotates. The amount of movement of the side plates 13, 13' is detected by a plurality of sensors provided on the sheet stacking plate, and is controlled by a control section not shown in the figure.
