Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the size of a duplicator and to prevent sheets from absorption of moisture, by a method wherein a cassette upper cover is openably attached to a cassette body to form a sheet feed caassette with a sheet outlet, and a sheet feed member, driven by a motor, is mounted thereto. CONSTITUTION:A cassette upper cover 2 is pivotally secured to a cassette body 1 by means of a pin 1a, and a sheet feed cassette having a sheet outlet 3 is formed between a front wall 1b of the cassette body 1 and a front edge 2a of the cassette upper cover 2. A sheet feed roller 4 is rotatably supported to the cassette upper cover 2 through a support shaft 5 and a bearing 6, and a motor 7 is securely adjacently to the sheet feed roller 4. (The motor 7 is connected to said support shaft 5 through a reduction gear 8 and a transmission mechanism 9, and a collector part thereof is connected to an electrode 11 located to a front end 2b of the cassette upper cover 2 through a cord 10. This allows the decrease in size and thickness of a duplicator and causes the sheets to be prevented from absorption of moisture during feed of the sheet.
