Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the outside circumference of a lens smart, also to make it light, and to support the lens by a proper holding force, by holding the whole circumference of the lens with an eye-wire. CONSTITUTION:As for an eye-wire 1, a metallic thin wire is used mainly, and it holds a lens L along the outside circumferential surface of the lens which has been ground to a necessary shape. A hinge fitting part 2 and a connecting and fitting part 3 are stuck to the outside part of the loop-shaped wire 1 and the inside part, respectively, by means of welding, etc. A pad piece 41 is provided on a suitable position of a connecting piece 4. One end part of the loop-shaped wire 1 which has been cut partially is fixed to the fitting part 2, a clamping piece 5 is fixed to the other end part of the wire, an engaging piece 21 of the fitting part 2 and the clamping piece 5 are opposed, and both the pieces are fixed with a screw 9. A hinge 7 can be provided directly on the hinge fitting part, or end pieces 6, 61 which are different in a design can be provided projectingly on said part, too.

Conventionally, eyeglass frames are made by grinding the entire outer periphery of the lens into a convex surface that matches the shape of the frame, and the convex shape of this outer periphery is formed on the inner periphery of the frame. il r/#, and in the case of a synthetic resin frame, use its elasticity, and in the case of a metal frame, tighten the frame with screws to securely hold each lens in the lens frame. There is also a method in which a frame is placed along only the upper picture on the outer circumferential surface of the lens and the lens is fixed with screws, or a method in which a frame is formed only at the upper edge and the outer circumference of the lower edge of the lens is held by an eye wire. However, in any of these conventional methods, the frame runs along the entire or part of the outer circumferential surface of the lens, which makes it difficult for accounting and design reasons. There are also limits.

The present invention will be explained below based on the illustrated embodiments. Thin lines are used, and plating and coloring are applied to enhance the aesthetic appearance. The eye wire 1 has a loop shape that follows the entire outer peripheral surface of the lens, and its shape is determined in advance to match the lens shape. A hinge attachment portion 2 is attached to the outer side of the loop-shaped eyewire 1, and a connecting piece attachment portion 6 is attached to the inner side thereof by bathing or other methods. This is provided because the eye wire is made of a thin wire, and it is difficult to directly attach a hinge or a connecting piece for connecting two lenses to the eye wire in terms of strength. Therefore, the hinge attachment part 2 and the connecting piece attachment part 3 are similar to the eye wire υ.
It is made of metal of the same quality as the eye wire or 14 quality so that it is thick and strong enough to have sufficient strength even when a hinge or connecting piece is protruded from it.

Reference numeral 4 denotes a connecting piece that connects the two eye wires 1.1 to form a series, and a nose piece 41 is protruded from the connecting piece attachment fljs5 at an appropriate position of this connecting piece 4, as in the illustrated embodiment. It is also possible to use this connecting piece as a nose piece.

Further, one end of a partially cut loop-shaped eye wire 1 is fixed to the hinge mounting portion 2, and a fastening piece 5 is fixed to the other end of the eye wire, so that the hinge mounting portion 2 is engaged with the fastening piece 5. The piece 21 and the fastening piece 5 are placed opposite each other, and both pieces are fixed with screws 9.

At this time, the partially cut loop-shaped eye wire 1 is integrated into a complete loop via the engaging piece 21, the fastening piece 5, and the screw 9, and is shaped to hold the lens.
If this lens grinding is not done accurately and there is an error in accordance with the specifications, and the lens becomes too small due to excessive grinding, this engaging piece 2
One or two or more washers 10 are interposed between the eye wire 1 and the fastening piece 5 depending on the degree of grinding of the lens, so that the lens is always properly supported with a predetermined holding force of the eye wire. Eggplant. This washer 10 is made of a material such as synthetic resin in addition to metal, and it can be made with a constant thickness or with a large number of different thicknesses, and the appropriate thickness can be selected according to the grinding condition of the lens. In addition, the washer can have a shape different from that of the engagement piece or the fastening piece, such as a disc shape, or the same shape as the engagement piece or fastening piece. .

In addition, a hinge 7 may be provided directly at the hinge mounting portion, or an end piece 6.61 having a different design as shown in Figure 1) and (B) may be provided protrudingly from the end piece 6 or 61. A hinge 7 is provided, and a temple 8 is foldably supported on the hinge 7 via a shaft.

The outer peripheral surface of the lens L held by the eye wire 1 is ground so as to have a predetermined shape, and in this case, the eye wire 1 is fitted along the outer peripheral surface. A concave groove La having a V-shape, U-shape, semicircle, etc. is formed. .

In the eyeglass frame constructed as described above, when fixing the lens, it is ground into a predetermined shape, and a concave groove is formed over the outer circumferential surface of the frame, and the screw 9 is loosened to attach the eye wire. When the loop shape of 1 is enlarged, the lens is fitted into this eye wire, and then the screw 9 is tightened, the space between the fastening piece 5 and the engaging piece 21 is tightened, and the eye wire is inserted into the concave groove on the outer circumferential surface of the lens. Fitted and held firmly in place.

If the lens cannot be held with a predetermined force by tightening the screws, the lens is ground too much and is smaller than specified. If used in this condition, the lens may become chipped or damaged. In order to prevent this, one or a combination of two or more washers is interposed between the engaging piece and the fastening piece, and the screw 9 is passed through the washer.
.. When tightening 5, the eye wire is tightened at the same time so that the lens is always fixed with an appropriate holding force of the eye wire. If this washer is made of synthetic resin, it will be less expensive than metal.
It has a certain degree of elasticity, and furthermore, the lens can be held securely.

According to the present invention, the eye wire that holds the lens is formed of a thin wire material around the entire circumference of the lens, and the eye wire is held by fitting into a groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the lens. Because of this, the outer periphery of the lens is smooth and the eye wire can be electrified, and when the eye wire is tightened with a screw to form a complete loop, it is possible to use a washer depending on the lens grinding process. There is an advantage that the lens can always be supported with an appropriate holding force, and the lens can be firmly supported without being accidentally damaged.
