Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure wetness simply, by heating the inside of a measuring container, converting wet steam to be measured into overheated steam, thereby heating the wet steam to be measured by a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:All valves 7-9, 13 and 14 are opened, and wet steam to be measured is made to pass into containers 1 and 2. Then, the valves 13 and 14 are closed and the wet steam to be measured is stored in the containers 1 and 2. Thereafter the valve 8 is closed. Then, the wet steam in the container 1 is heated by an electric heater 17 and made uniform by an agitator 16. Thus the volume is expanded. At this time, the valves 7 and 9 are opened. Therefore, the pressure in the containers 1 and 2 is not changed. A piston 18 is slid in a cylinder 3 in the direction toward the container 2. An external magnetic body 20 is displaced together with the piston 18 owing to the magnetic coupling with an internal magnetic body 19. The displacement is detected by a variable resistor 22 and inputted to a microcomputer 23. The amount of volume expansion is computed from the input value, and the wetness is measured.

This method has a problem in that the range of wet steam that can be measured is limited. However, if the pressure of the steam is low, the pressure must be very low to reach the superheated steam state in the container, and if the steam is highly wet, it will expand and recede into the hot steam state. This is to prevent this from happening.

Conventional technology and its problems Conventionally, the wet steam to be measured is passed through the inner pipe of a double pipe, and the same amount of superheated steam is flowed into the outer pipe, and the wet steam to be measured is heated by this superheated steam flow to produce superheated steam. The humidity is measured by sampling the steam to be measured.

The above method requires superheated steam as a heating source, and it is difficult to flow the same amount of superheated steam as the wet steam to be measured or to sample the wet steam to be measured.

Technical Means The technical means of the present invention taken to solve the above-mentioned technical problems are as follows: (a) A measurement container containing the vapor to be measured and a container communicating with the vapor to be measured system are connected by a cylinder, (a piston is placed inside the long cylinder, (c) an electric heater is installed inside the measuring container, and (d) a means for detecting the saturated steam state inside the measuring container is provided.

The inside of the measurement container is heated with an electric heater to superheat the wet steam to be measured. At this time, since the back surface of the piston is in communication with the wet steam system to be measured, the pressure inside both containers and the cylinder is constant, and the wet steam in the measurement container expands in volume, and the piston moves. The saturated steam condition is detected from the difference in the degree of displacement of the piston. Alternatively, a thermometer is attached to the measurement container to detect the saturated vapor state at the point where the temperature begins to rise. The amount of volumetric expansion is calculated from the amount of displacement of the piston when this saturated steam state is reached, and the wetness (1-X) is calculated using the following formula: 1-X-△V/ (V + ΔV) (where, ■- volume of wet steam in the measuring vessel before heating,
It can be determined by: V - volumetric expansion when the saturated vapor state is reached.
