FIG. 1 shows the end shape of a conventional locomotive viewed from the side. A skirt 3 is provided only at the end of one car body, and covers the front of the bogie 2. A removable snow shovel 4 is normally provided under the skirt 3, and at the upper left and right ends of this snow shovel 4 located on the car side, there are steps 5 that the coupling hand climbs when disconnecting the locomotive. A grip bar 6 for grasping the connecting hand is also attached to the vehicle body 1. On the other hand, an entrance 7 for the crew is provided on the vehicle side. In a locomotive having such a structure, the bogie 2 is relatively close to the skirt 3, so there is not much displacement between the snow shovel 4 and the skirt 3 in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, when this type of locomotive runs, the snow removed by the snow shovel 4 is not only shoveled left and right, but also scatters upward and hits the driver's cab window 8, causing Not only does it impair your forward visibility, which is the most important part of your vehicle's vision, but even if you try to remove the snow with your wipers, it won't be able to keep up with it, resulting in a situation where you are forced to drive blind. This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a locomotive leading structure that prevents snow thrown up by a snow shovel from reaching the front window of the driver's cab as much as possible.

The LA car body has a slightly more set back end than a conventional locomotive car body,
A deck 9 is provided in this weaving section. A closed end plate 12 is provided on the front surface of the deck 9 to cover the lower part thereof, and the upper end of this end plate 12 is bent so as to project forward. It is also conceivable that this end plate upper bent portion 12a be flush with the deck 9, or be located at a slightly higher position. A crew entrance/exit 15 is provided in front of the vehicle body la relative to the deck 9. On both the left and right sides of the deck 9, there are steps 10 for connecting hands etc. to climb onto the deck 9 from the car side.
11a and 11b are provided, but the step 10 at the bottom is wide enough to fill the vehicle width limit, and the steps 1 1a and 1 1b at the top are shallow steps that are comfortable enough to put your feet on. It is installed by being pulled in from the car side. An inner plate 14 whose portion facing the inside of the vehicle body is closed is provided on the rear side of these steps.
On the other hand, a skirt 13 is provided on the lower surface of the vehicle body, and the width and height become gradually shorter toward the rear.
The connection surface between the step rear inner plate 14 and the step rear inner plate 14 is constituted by an oblique inner plate 13a that is inclined obliquely with respect to the vehicle traveling direction. It is preferable that the inner plate 14 be vertical once it is fired, but if structurally permissible, the upper part may be slightly inclined inward or formed into a stepped shape in accordance with the steps 11a and 11b. 6a and 6b are connecting hands or grip bars for crew members, and the connecting hands on step 10 are connected to steps 11a and 1.
1b is slightly retracted, so stand straight and hold the nigiri stick 6a.
Alternatively, by holding on to 6b, it is possible to enter the vehicle limit, and in this case, the end plate 12 comes in front of the continuous hand and acts as a protective plate.

The steps 10, 11a, and 11b are constructed of strong structures with gaps such as gratings to prevent snow or the like from accumulating on them. The tip of the snow shovel 4a should not protrude too much from the end plate 12, and the wing parts extending rearward on the left and right should take a steep angle within a range that does not come into contact with the structure of the truck 2. diagonal inner plate 13a,
It is arranged so as to be located inside the vehicle body with respect to the skirt 13. In the figure, A indicates a box-shaped cover projecting from the front of the vehicle body, which is composed of the deck 9, the end plate 12, the step rear inner plate 14, the skirt 13, and the diagonal inner plate 13a. Next, the snow scattering prevention effect of the snow shovel in the locomotive leading structure of the present invention will be explained.

As already explained, the deck 9, the end plate 12, the inner plate 14
, the diagonal 4 inner plate 13a, and the skirt 13 constitute a box-shaped cover A on the front of the car body la, and the width and height of the skirt 13 gradually decreases toward the rear, and the sides of the bogie are largely closed. On the other hand, since the snow shovel 4a is almost inside the box-shaped cover A, the snow thrown up by the snow shovel when driving at high speed rises once inside this box-shaped cover A. It is obstructed by the ceiling of the wall, creating a swirling flow, and is discharged to the side from the point where the skirt 13 is cut up, as shown by the arrow in FIG. In this case step lo,
The inward recesses on both sides of the box cover for providing the steps 11a and 11b have the effect of preventing this swirling flow of snow, but the inner back plate 14 of the steps 10, 11a and 11b
The diagonal inner plate 13a connected to the skirt 13 promotes this swirling flow, and most of the snow is discharged from the bottom of the skirt 13 to the side. However, some of the snow scatters and flies up to the front of the end plate 12, but the end plate upper bent portion 12a prevents damage and creates an airflow at the end plate 12 that descends downward rather than upward. Therefore, the flying snow hardly rises upward and hits the front window 8 of the driver's seat. As described above, a box-shaped cover 4 is constructed at the front end of the locomotive by the deck 9, end plate 12, inner plate 14, diagonal inner plate 13a, and skirt 13,
Since the snow shovel 4a is placed inside and below this box-shaped cover, even when the locomotive runs at high speed while removing snow using the snow shovel, the snow that flies up flows as a swirling flow inside the box-shaped cover and skirts the skirt. 13, and it becomes possible to completely eliminate the problem of obstructing the driver's forward visibility, which is the most important factor for the driver.
