Abstract

PURPOSE:To ventilate the inside of lavatory by a method wherein a seating detector, detecting the seating on a toilet seat, a ventilating fan and a ventilating fan controlling means are provided to drive the ventilating fan upon the seating of man on the voilet seat and the fan is continued to be driven for a predetermined period of time after using the lavatory. CONSTITUTION:When a man is not seating on a toilet seat 3, a relay 20 is put OFF by an output terminal voltage (H) and a fan 4 is stopped. When the man has seated thereon, a detector 13 is closed to charge a capacitor 15, an input terminal voltage of a comparator 17 becomes V1>V2, the output terminal voltage becomes (L), a ventilating fan control relay 20 is put ON and the fan 4 is operated. When the man separates from the toilet seat 3, a seating switch 13 is opened and electric discharge of a capacitor 15 is started through a resistor 16, then, the input terminal voltage of the comparator 17 becomes V1>V2 after the predetermined period of time has elapsed and the output terminal voltage of the comparator 17 becomes (H) thereby stopping the ventilating fan 4.

In FIG. 5, the horizontal axis represents time, and the vertical axis represents voltage waveform. At time t□, the user is not sitting on the toilet seat 3, and the input terminal voltage of the comparator 17 is Vl (voltage V2 is applied. At this time, the output terminal voltage of the comparator 17 is in the state of l"1-ij. ,

has stopped. Next, when the user sits on the toilet seat 3 at time t1, the seating detector 13 closes, and the capacitor 15 is charged via the resistor 14, reaching the voltage v2 at time t2. At this time, the period from time t1 to time t12 is an extremely short time. This is because the resistor 14 is a protective resistor for limiting the current of the M detector 13, so the time constant is small. When the input terminal voltage of the comparator 17 becomes Vl>V2, the output terminal voltage of the comparator 17 becomes l-
Lj, and the ventilation fan control relay 20 is turned on. Therefore, the ventilation fan 4 is operated.

Next, when you leave the toilet seat 3 at time t3, the seat switch 13
will be developed. From this time, the capacitor 15 starts discharging via the resistor 16, and at time t4, the input terminal voltage of the comparator 17 becomes Vl<V2 again, and the output terminal voltage of the comparator 17 becomes 1-H. Then, the ventilation fan 4 stops. Therefore, the period from time t3 to t4 is the delay time for ventilation fan operation. This time can be arbitrarily determined by the time constants of the capacitor 15 and resistor 16.

As described above, according to this embodiment, the ventilation fan control unit 23
An electric circuit including the above is built into the fixed part of the toilet seat 3 body, and a ventilation fan connection outlet 24 is provided, so that it can be easily connected to an existing ventilation fan.

Note that in this embodiment, the seating detector is constructed using a heavy metal insert, but the seating detector may also use an optical element, a magnetic element, an ultrasonic wave, or the like. In this case, the ventilation fan can be operated by simply approaching the toilet without sitting on the toilet seat.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention includes a toilet seat installed on a toilet bowl, a ventilation fan that ventilates the inside of the toilet, a seating detector that detects seating on the toilet seat, and a system that delays the operation of the ventilation fan for a predetermined period of time. By providing a ventilation fan control means that stops the ventilation fan, the ventilation fan can be driven when the toilet is in use, resulting in energy savings. Furthermore, by performing the ventilation operation for a predetermined period of time even when leaving the toilet, it is possible to obtain the effect of preventing odor from remaining in the toilet room.
