換操作時にその回転軸方向と直交する方向に移動させる
ことにより、駆動歯車と従動歯車の両方に夫々側方から
噛み合わせて駆動歯車の回転駆動力を従動歯車に伝達す
るようにした回転駆動力伝達機構において、前記中間歯
車を、駆動歯車に劃み合う第1歯車と従動歯車に噛み合
う第2歯車とを同軸的に且つ回転的に結合して配した二
段構成にすると共に、三の第1歯車と第2歯車のモジュ
ールを互いに異ならせ、モード切換操作時に先ず第1歯
車が駆動歯車に劃み合った後第2歯車が従動歯車に噛み
合うように構成した事を特徴とする磁気記録再生装置の
