Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow abrasion machining, scale removal, and surface flaw elimination after the rugged face of the flat plate surface by spirally hooking and fixing the lower edge of the woven fablic portion of sector abrasion elements to a cylindrical drum at many places. CONSTITUTION:When a group of sector abrasion elements 1 spirally hooked and fixed by many steel wires 5 to the drum 9 of a grinding roll like a multi-thread screw are pressed to a metal plate, each grinding point follows the curved ruggedness of the metal plate due to the flexibility of the woven fabric portion 3 of the abrasion elements 1 and some left and right sway of the grinding elements 1, the grinding roll exerts the function as an elastic body and grinds the metal surface uniformly in the back and forth and the left and right directions. Since the grinding surface is formed by collecting point grinding due to the advance of the metal plate and the spiral displacement of contacts of the grinding elements 1, no vertical stripe is left on the plate surface.

Conventionally, so-called elastic polishing rolls for polishing the surface of a flat plate with some unevenness on its curved and uneven surface have been made using a 9-curve abrasive material with abrasive grains firmly fixed on the surface. Mainly used are a flap wheel type with a flap or a sponge type with a non-woven fabric or porous soft material impregnated and fixed with abrasive grains. There is a problem of uneconomical consumption due to wear, and the latter has a limited amount of abrasive grains to be impregnated to maintain the flexibility of the roll, so the grinding ability is low, and it is difficult to distribute the abrasive grains uniformly. Since the rolls are separated from each other, they have drawbacks such as extremely high costs for producing large rolls, and are therefore unsuitable for large-scale descaling and scratch removal of metal plates.

The present invention goes beyond the above-mentioned method and mechanically assembles an abrasive material that is rigid and can withstand heavy grinding into an elastic abrasive roll, and uses it to not only polish the curved and uneven surface of a flat plate, but also to This makes it possible to significantly scale metal plates and remove surface scratches.

In Fig. 2, 9 is a steel drum, and on its surface,
The polishing element 1 is set at a constant angle θ0 with the intersection line of the drum virtual cutting plane including the center line of the drum and the surface of the drum,
The lower edge of the woven fabric portion 3 of the polishing element is anchored and fixed. In this way, the polishing elements are attached to the surface of the drum in a helical manner with an increment angle of 90°-θ0. Figure 2 shows the state in which a single polishing element is attached, but when multiple polishing elements are attached to the surface of the drum at equal intervals, the elements look like a multi-thread screw, and each element , at any one point of the element, the lines of intersection of the axial center of the drum and the orthogonal virtual coin cutting plane are arranged in several lines so that they all coincide with the extended line of the radius of the drum. There are various ways to connect 1 to 9, but in an effective embodiment, 3 is folded in two into a bag shape, and two flanges that fit on both end faces of the drum are used as the base for connection. A high-tensile steel wire is stretched and tightened from a point on one flange to a point on the other flange at the aforementioned helical angle, and the polishing element 3 is penetrated and fixed around this steel wire. When forming a long abrasive roll, if the rigidity of the abrasive material portion 2 of the element is difficult to follow a helical curve, cut grooves shown at 4 in Fig. 1 may be added at appropriate intervals to form a continuous straight line. may form a helical shape on the surface.

When the abrasive roll configured as described above is installed in an apparatus, rotated, and comes into contact with a metal plate, the abrasive elements stand upright on the respective drums by centrifugal J and grind the metal plate, but in that case, the grinding surface of the roll is composed of a series of circular arc contacts of a plurality of polishing elements, and when it is pressed against a metal plate, each grinding point is formed by the bending of the woven fabric part of the polishing element and the slight left and right rocking of the grinding member, and the metal plate is pressed against the metal plate. Following the curved unevenness of the roll, the roll functions as an elastic body and can uniformly grind the metal surface in the front, rear, left and right directions. In this case, the grinding surface is created by a collection of point grinding by the progress of the metal plate and the spiral displacement of the contact point of the grinding element, so no vertical streaks are left on the surface of the plate, and the roll surface has no traces of the element. Since there is no resonance of the abrasive material due to its elasticity, so-called chattering does not occur, so uniform and beautiful grinding and polishing can be carried out in a heavy or light manner.

In addition, since the polishing element used in the roll is a bonded grindstone, there is less wear compared to other elastic polishing rolls, so the life of the roll is extremely long, and it is far superior to conventional products in terms of economy and work efficiency, making it an industrial choice. It is a great dedication to the world.
