    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 読取可能な情報を有する搬送対象物の情報非記載面を第
    １の搬送部材で支持すると共に情報記載面の情報記載部
    分を無端走行可能な第２の搬送部材で支持することによ
    り搬送対象物を挟持搬送し、その搬送途上にて搬送対象
    物に記載されている情報を情報読取手段で読取る挟持搬
    送において、上記第２の搬送部材が搬送対象物に記載さ
    れている情報を覆うべく変位したことを検出する検出手
    段と、この検出手段からの出力に基づいて情報の読取り
    が可能かを判別する制御手段とを設けたことを特徴とす
    る挟持搬送装置。
