Conventionally, both ends of the wall material forming the exterior wall of a building are uncut, and as shown in Fig. 1, the wall material 1,
1 to each other in a straight line, it is not possible to create a uniform gap between both wall materials 1 and 1 without using the hat-shaped joiner 2, and the caulking material 3 filled in the joints will not fit between both walls. Since the caulking material 3 is bonded to the three sides of each side end surface of the wall material 1 and the joiner 2, there is a problem that when vibrations such as an earthquake occur, the caulking material 3 is restrained by the joiner 2 and cracks occur in the caulking material 3. When the wall materials 1 and 1 are connected at right angles, as shown in FIG. Since rain leaks through the abutting portions of .

The horizontal exterior wall material according to the present invention is a rectangular board material that is formed by alternating a plurality of sheets and forming an exterior wall surface of a building by making the side edges continuous, and the surface of one of the left and right side edges is Notch steps 5 on the left and right sides that are equal to the thickness of this board material are formed over the entire length of the side edges, and an elastic backup layer 8 is formed on the entire bottom surface 6 of the notch steps 5 that are parallel to the surface of the board material. In this embodiment, an upper protrusion 10 protrudes from the back side of the upper end surface of a rectangular plate long from side to side, and a cutout groove 11 is formed on the back side of the lower end surface of the plate material. 1, in which a plurality of wall materials 1, 1 arranged vertically are connected by iron-fitting the upper protruding ridges 0 and the notched grooves 11. In addition, a groove-shaped peeling 12 is formed approximately in the vertical center of the surface of the wall material 1, extending the entire length from side to side, giving it a "German clapboard-like appearance."The backup layer 8 is made of polyethylene or similar material. It is formed by adhering a band material 13 made of an elastic material to the bottom surface of the notched stepped portion 5. After forming the notched step portions on the left and right sides equal to the wall thickness of the wall surface material 1, the band material is Adhesive tape 141 provided on the back side of 13 is attached to the cutout step portion 5. When the wall material 1 is arranged in a straight line from side to side, as shown in FIG. The side end face of the part 5 is butted against the side end face of the adjacent wall material 1 on the side opposite to the notch step 5 to form a constant joint between both wall materials 1, 1, and the joint is A caulking material 3 is filled into the notch step 5. An elastic type material such as silicone or urethane is used as the caulking material 3, and the caulking material 3 is applied to the side wall surface of the notch step 5 and to this. Although it is adhered to the side end surfaces of the opposing and adjacent wall materials 1, the backup layer 8
The caulking material 3 is used to seal the space between the wall materials 1 and 1 watertightly without adhering to the walls, and even if vibrations such as earthquakes act on the wall material 1 in the left-right direction, the backup layer will not be restrained. It can freely expand and contract while closing the gap between both wall surface materials 1, 1, and does not cause cracks. The above-mentioned backup layer 8 is also adhered to the entire surface of the upper protruding strip 10, and as shown in FIG. ``The wall material 1 is designed to watertightly close the space between the wall materials arranged above and below. As shown in the figure, the wall material 1 is attached to the base material such as columns by peeling 12 and nails 15 driven from the above and below positions. 16. Fig. 6 shows a case where the wall materials 1 and 1 are joined at right angles, and the notch of the other wall material 1 is inserted into the notch step 5 of one wall material 1. The end opposite to the stepped portion 5 is brought in, and the end surface of the pond is pressed against the backup layer 8' to connect them watertightly. At the same time, the peeling 12 on the surface of the wall material 1 is applied. This is to make the end of the corner part beautiful and continuous without interruption at the corner part.Since the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, when the wall materials are arranged horizontally in a straight line, the side end surfaces of each other are butted against each other. With this method, the notch step part cut out in the certain part forms a joint, and the joint part in the certain part can be easily formed without using a separate joiner like in the past. The caulking material is not attached to the backup layer, but only to the side wall surface of the notch step and the side end surface of the adjacent wall material, so even if vibrations such as earthquakes occur, the caulking material will not vibrate. It has the advantage of not causing cracks that can lead to heavy rain.

In other words, when the joiner is loaded at the bottom of the joint as in the past, the caulking material filled in the joint will adhere to the surface of the joiner in addition to the end face of the wall material, resulting in so-called three-sided adhesion. Caulking material is prone to cracking due to the use of caulking materials, but it is possible to arrange multiple wall materials in a straight line by butting the side end surface of the wall with the notch step and the side end surface on the opposite side to the notch step. Therefore, a gap is formed between the surfaces of adjacent wall materials by the middle dimension of the notch step, and a certain joint is formed, which improves the appearance. In addition, the caulking material was filled in the notch step between each wall material and was bonded to the side end surface of the notch step and the side end surface of the adjacent wall material opposite to the back-up material without adhesion. The caulking material follows expansion and contraction due to thermal expansion without any problem, maintains watertightness between adjacent wall materials, and prevents rainwater from entering. In addition, the caulking material can be applied only to the side edges of adjacent wall materials. It is adhesively bonded and absorbs the expansion and contraction of the wall material without any problem and does not cause cracks that can lead to leaks.Furthermore, when the wall material is connected at right angles, iron is inserted into the notch step. There is an advantage that the side end surfaces of the wall materials can be densely covered with the backup layer, and the gap between both wall materials can be sealed watertight.
