Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain efficient transmission only for a required part by reflecting a light from a light emitting element from a reflecting plate representing a position, reading the picture information of the required part of the original surounded thereby and transmitting the result after processing such as magnification or shrinking is applied. CONSTITUTION:Rails 5, 6 are provided in X and Y directions of a placing plate 2 and two pairs of reflecting plates 3-1, 3-2, 4-1 and 4-2 are provided to them. Photoelectric converting element groups 7, 8 are provided along the rails 5, 6 and the position of each reflecting plate is detected by the element groups. The area surrounded by a position coordinate of each reflecting plate in the X and Y axes is stored in a transmission position set section 10, it is fed to a motor driven lens circuit 13 and a position detecting 14 so as to adjust the lens system 16 and also the drivepulse for the character transfer element 17. Then only the area designated by the lens system is shrinked or myltfunction so as to read the charge transfer and transmit only with less waste information.

(bl) Prior Art and Problem Information In particular, facsimile machines are widely used to transmit image originals remotely. This facsimile machine irradiates the original with a beam of light and receives the reflected light with a charge transfer element. The facsimile machine performs photoelectric conversion, stores the charge in a charge transfer element, and scans this charge to send the document electronically.Generally, this facsimile machine sends the entire document electronically, so there is no point in sending it electronically. This method has disadvantages in that it is not only wasteful, but also causes time loss and reduces transmission efficiency.

(C) Purpose of the Invention In view of the drawbacks of the prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method for transmitting parts of a document with good transmission efficiency, in which only the required portion of the document is transmitted electronically.

(d) Structure of the Invention Briefly stated, the present invention provides a facsimile device that is equipped with a charge transfer element and performs electrical transmission of a document, which is provided with means for setting an area of the document to be electrically transmitted to the facsimile device, An optical device is interposed between the transfer element and the document, a portion of the document is set by the setting means, and the document portion is enlarged or reduced by the optical holder to obtain a document portion of a required size. It is characterized by being transmitted electronically.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram of an embodiment for explaining a method for partially transmitting a document according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an example diagram showing partial settings of the present invention. Prior to explaining the invention, a method for setting a portion of a document to be electronically transmitted will be explained with reference to FIG. The original 1 is placed on the mounting table 2, and preparations are made for electronic transmission of the original.

It has a structure that moves on rails 5 and 6 in the axial and y-axis directions, and the reflector has an index (indicated by an arrow) to indicate its position, and the lower surface of the reflector is covered with a reflective material, such as aluminum, to reflect light. The foil is attached.

Photoelectric conversion element groups 7 and 8 are provided at positions corresponding to the rails 5 and 6 of the mounting table 2. Therefore, the reflector plate, for example 3-1
When moved, the photoelectric conversion element at the destination position receives reflected light from its own light emitting element on its light receiving element and outputs a position signal. Therefore, by moving the reflector to indicate the desired portion of the document, the position of the portion of the document to be transmitted electronically is output.

In the figure, the lower left corner is the original position of the original. The partial position signals determined as described above are stored in the transmission position setting section 10 of FIG. This stored value is sent to the gate circuit 1 by pressing the button key 11 indicating that partial transmission is to be performed.
2 is in the "pass" state, and the position signal is input to the lens drive circuit 13 and the position determining section 14. The lens drive circuit 13 uses the input partial position signal and magnification/! The lens system 16 is adjusted in accordance with the instructions from the i1 small section 15 so as to enlarge the document to a required size, for example. On the other hand, the position determining section 14 generates a partial position signal and a signal from the document detecting section 1B, that is, the document detecting section 1B detects the input of a document in the normal state and creates a timing for reading the contents of the charge transfer element 17. I do. Based on these signals, the position determining unit 14 determines the timing to take out the portion and operates the control unit 19 to remove the portion from the charge transfer element 1.
7 starts scanning.
