光電変換を行い電荷として電荷転送素子に貯え、此の電
荷を走査して原稿を電送するのである。一般に此のファ
クシミリ装置は、原稿を全部電送しており、従って電送
しても無意味なものとか、電送したくないものまで電送
を行うこととなり、無駄であるばかりで無く、時間的な
損失を招き、電送効率を悪くすると言った欠点があった

設定する手段を設、けると共に、前記電荷転送素子と該
原稿間に光学装置を介在せしめて、前記設定手段にて原
稿の部分を設定して該原稿部分を前記光学装置にて拡大
成いは縮小を行って所要寸法の原稿部分を電送すること
