Conventionally, as the above-mentioned metal cleaning and drying equipment,
Generally, a steam cleaning tank having a structure as shown in FIG. 1 is used. That is, the steam cleaning tank 1 shown in FIG. 1 has a heater 5 at the bottom that heats the solvent 4. It has cooling surfaces 2 and 21 on the side wall 6, is open at the top, and has means for suspending and transporting the object 3 to be cleaned. The object to be cleaned 3 is the heater 5
After being washed in a heated solvent or in generated steam, it is transferred between cooling surfaces 2 and 21 and dried by K. The steam cleaning tank 1 has side walls 6 of the condensing surfaces 2 and 21 to the extent that solvent vapor does not scatter from the upper opening.
may be set to an appropriate length. However, when processing large objects with such conventional equipment,
Since the side wall on which the cooling surface is provided becomes long, there is a drawback that the device becomes larger. In addition, when configuring a series of processes in which cleaning with a solvent, drying, and cooling are performed continuously in a device with an open top structure as described above, it is difficult to horizontally transfer the object to be cleaned. This method not only complicates the means but also reduces the transfer speed.

A method of continuously performing drying and cooling has been proposed. However, in an apparatus having such a ceiling, the object to be cleaned, such as metal, has the disadvantage that color spots remain on its surface. The present inventors came to propose the present invention after discovering that the cause of the above-mentioned color spots on the metal surface is the condensed solvent that falls from the ceiling inside the device.

The condensing device of the present invention generally has a condensing region having a horizontal hollow cylindrical ceiling structure, and when a means for transferring the object to be cleaned from one end to the other end, such as a conveyor, is connected to the cleaning process, K. Since the process from washing to drying is linear (horizontal), the equipment and operation are extremely simplified. Furthermore, since the condensing device is not open to the atmosphere, it only needs to have the minimum necessary size to accommodate the object to be cleaned.

The mounting position of the cooling surface 2 provided in the condensing device of the present invention is at least a part or all of the side surface or bottom surface of the cylindrical body, and when it is provided on the ceiling 8 surface, the condensed liquid is attached to the object to be cleaned. 3. Therefore, the purpose of the present invention □ cannot be achieved. The cooling surface 2 is attached by inserting a tube into the side or bottom of the cylindrical body, and circulating water or a refrigerant through the tube. The cooling capacity at this time may be appropriately determined depending on the type of solvent used, the size of the object to be cleaned, the desired processing time, etc.

As a means for achieving the above structure, for example, the temperature of the ceiling surface 8 is made higher than the temperature of the side surfaces or the bottom surface. Specifically, typical methods include maintaining the temperature of the ceiling 8 surface higher than the condensation temperature of the solvent vapor, or changing the structure of the ceiling 8 to prevent condensed liquid from falling onto the object to be cleaned.

As a method of keeping the temperature of the ceiling 8 higher than the condensation temperature of the solvent vapor used, for example, as shown in Figure 3, the ceiling 8
A method of attaching a heating means 10 such as a surface heater, a method of filling the ceiling surface with a heat insulating agent, etc. are used. In this case, the temperature control of the eight ceiling surfaces is appropriately selected depending on the type of solvent, the shape of the apparatus, etc.

In addition, as a method to prevent the condensate from falling onto the object to be cleaned 3 by changing the shape of the ceiling 8, it is possible to slope the surface of the ceiling 8 so that the condensate generated on the ceiling 8 drips to the side surface. There is a method of directing the condensate to a receiving tank. The shape of the ceiling 8 at this time is not particularly limited, such as a triangular shape as shown in FIG. 4 or a dome shape. Further, the angle of inclination at this time may be selected to be the minimum necessary range in which the condensate does not fall onto the object to be cleaned, depending on the capacity of the condensing device, the shape of the object to be cleaned, the distance between the object to be cleaned and the side wall, etc. Further, the effect is further enhanced by cutting grooves in the above-mentioned sloped ceiling surface.
