Abstract

PURPOSE:To equalize a voltage share of each part of a light guide, and to prevent a drop of a creeping flashover voltage by winding a semiconductive member having an insulation resistance which is lower than the light guide, to the outside circumference of the light guide. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductive tape being a semiconductive member 5 whose insulation resistance is lower by 1-3 digits or so than a light guide 1 is wound spirally to the outside circumference of a lot of light guides 1, and connected electrically to supporting metallic fittings 2, 3. According to such a constitution, in case when a DV voltage is applied to the light guide 1, the greater part of a leakage current flows to the tape 5, therefore, the light guide itself exists as an insulator of a high resistance. Accordingly, a voltage share of each part of the light guide is equalized irrespective of a constituting material quality of each part of the light guide, and also a drop of a creeping flashover voltage can be prevented.

As shown in Figure (b), a large number of light guides (1) are bundled to have a nearly circular cross section, with light guides (2) attached to the high-voltage charging section and light guides (3) attached to the grounding section. Even if the potential in the portion (3) is fixed, the load distribution in the creeping direction of the light guide may not be equal. In other words, especially when a DC voltage is applied to the light guide, for example, if the insulation resistance of the outer sheath of the light guide is higher than the insulation resistance of the other parts, the leakage current will flow from the support fittings (2) and (3). It flows into the inside of the light guide through the insulation resistance in the direction of penetration of the outer jacket from the support part to the inside of the light guide. In this case, the insulation resistance of the outer sheath in the direction of passage is relatively lower than the insulation resistance inside the light guide, so the supporting metal fitting (2) is used.

[Summary of the Invention] This invention has been made to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is designed to increase the withstand voltage by wrapping the light guide with a semiconductive member that has a lower insulation resistance than the light guide. It is.

With this configuration, when a DC voltage is applied to the light guide, most of the current flows through the semiconductive tape (5), so the light guide itself is connected to the high-resistance insulator. It exists as such. Therefore, regardless of the constituent material of each part of the light guide, the voltage distribution among each part of the light guide is approximately equalized.
