Abstract

PURPOSE:To equalize a voltage share of each part of a light guide, and to prevent a drop of a creeping flashover voltage by providing a resistor having an insulation resistance which is lower than the light guide, and connecting a supporting part and a middle position of the light guide to the resistor. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 7 having a resistance value which is lower than by 1-3 digits or so than an insulation resistance of a light guide 10 is provided, and supporting metallic fittings 4, 5 and a middle position of the light guide 10 are connected electrically by connecting metallic fittings 8, 9. According to such a constitution, in case when a DC voltage is applied to the light guide 10, the greate part of a leakage current flows to the resistor 7, the light guide 10 exists as an insulator of a high resistance, a voltage distribution of the creeping direction is equalized, and a concentration of a voltage in the vicinity of the supporting metallic fittings 4, 5 is softened. Therefore, a voltage share of each part of the light guide is equalized, and a drop of a creeping flashover voltage can be prevented.

The configuration of a conventional light guide of this type is shown in No. 11A. In this figure, (1) is the core portion of the light guide (10), which is made of multi-component glass or quartz, silicon, d-nylon, etc. (2) is the cushioning material part of the light guide,
It is made of polyamide fiber, etc. (3) is an outer cover that surrounds each component of the light guide, and is made of polyvinyl chloride, polyester elastomer, or the like. (4) and (5) are supporting metal fittings that serve as supporting parts for the light guide, with (4) being layered on the high-voltage charging part, and (5) showing being layered on the grounding part. (6)
is a space filled with an insulating compressed gas such as SF. Since the conventional light guide (10) is constructed and supported as described above, when the DC voltage of the high-voltage charging part is applied to the light guide, the voltage sharing of the light guide is due to the insulating material constituting the light guide. It will be determined by the insulation resistance value. This situation will be explained in detail with reference to FIG. Figure 2 equivalently shows the resistance distribution of each part of the light guide in the configuration shown in Figure 1. In this figure, (R1) is the creeping insulation resistance of the outer cover (3).
(RIa) + (Rib) is the insulation resistance of the outer cover part (3) in the penetrating direction, (R2) is the insulation resistance of the buffer material part (2), (

(5) Abnormal discharge may occur near fυ. Moreover, this is not preferable because it causes a decrease in the creeping flash voltage of the light guide, and even if the voltage between the supporting metal fittings (4) and (5) is relatively low, flash faults are likely to occur.

An embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 3 will be described below. In FIG. 3, (7) is a resistor disposed near the light guide (10), which has a resistance value about 1 to 3 times lower than the insulation resistance of the light guide (10). (Φ and (5) are the support devices that electrically connect the resistor and the light kite and serve as a support for both; 1 (4) is attached to the high voltage charging part, and (5) is the grounding device. (8) and (9) are connecting fittings for connecting the intermediate resistance position of the resistor and the intermediate position of the light guide at once. There may be one or two or more.

By making this arrangement, most of the leakage current when DC voltage is applied is transferred to the resistor (7), and the light guide remains as a high-resistance insulator, so the voltage in the creeping direction is reduced. In addition, in the above explanation, a resistor was cited as an example of a resistance member placed near the light guide, but it is not limited to this, and the insulation resistance is 1 to 3 Even if an extremely low-quality insulating material is used, a superior effect can be expected.
